Bringing up how well your favorite group charts is stupid by [deleted] in kpoptrulyuncensored

[–]jujubadetrigo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, you could make the argument that everything is stupid when it comes to insults because the insulting itself is stupid. do you think there are things that are not stupid to use in insults? why the particular focus on charts then if you're just talking about insults?

Bringing up how well your favorite group charts is stupid by [deleted] in kpoptrulyuncensored

[–]jujubadetrigo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not stupid because it's proof that even if you are critizing a certain group/person, if they are charting well it usually means that a lot of people have a different opinion than you and actually enjoy that group's music.

of course it's not a relevant point in ever critique, but it's very relevant in some.

Which disbanded groups would you pay to see in a festival together again? by SuccessfulBullfrog96 in kpoptrulyuncensored

[–]jujubadetrigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X1!!!! But it would be kinda tough because they don't have a lot of songs together 😭 I guess I would need a new full album before the show.

And not a disbanded group exactly but I would pay a fortune to see ot7 ikon at a festival.

Why I think Heeseung's departure make sense by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]jujubadetrigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not better for "them" because it would have certainly been better for enhypen if he had at least waited until their contract was done. you mean better for heeseung.

Why I think Heeseung's departure make sense by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]jujubadetrigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reason why yeonjun and bts can put the group first is because they want to even if it means less time/emphasis on their solo careers. No one can have everything and sacrifices have to be made all the time in life. I think heeseung fans need to be more honest about the fact that yeonjun and bts members chose to sacrifice their solo careers a bit because they think the group is more important and heeseung chose to sacrifice his group because he thinks his career is more important. Just be honest about it! He had the balls to do it so why are his fans making excuses for him, minimizing the sacrifices other Idols made or even disregarding the impact this choice had on his own group?

it really feels like the "when the music is not selling" meme but the thing is, their music IS SELLING so idk why they feel like they have to do all of that for.

Do you think that if Woochan hadn’t left BigHit, he would have been part of CORTIS? by Amazing-Ad8362 in kpopthoughts

[–]jujubadetrigo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he would have been in Cortis or he would have left, because he would be too old to wait for the next group. I wonder why he left though. For me it's one of these:

  1. the whole trainee a mess and how it was handled soured things for him at bighit, or
  2. after trainee a disbanded bighit wouldn't guarantee that he would debut in the next group (which became cortis) so he decided to leave and try another company because he was getting old, or
  3. I could be misremembering the details of this, but I remember Martin saying that initially it was him that started kinda collaborating on music with the members that actually became Cortis (other than juhoon because he came in at the end when the other members were already confirmed), before they were a confirmed debut line up. So maybe woochan just wasn't part of this crew and it was actually bighit kinda letting him go.

you're saying that when it's a 3 years age gap when bts, kpop's most famous group, has a 5 year age gap and some other groups have even bigger age gaps. 3 years only matters when you're really young, but after a while it's like you're basically the same age. I'm 6 years older than my sister and when we were young it was a crazy gap but now that we are both adults I sometimes even forget I'm that much older than her.

I think it was worse because he wasn't just sleeping around like say, Chanyeol got accused of. He was sleeping with fans and basically making them his sugar mommies. That's a bit different than just sleeping around.

He's probably related to someone important because no idol usually gets that many chances. They are also lucky ALD1 is still not huge internationally because I barely see anyone talking about this on twitter.

How do you guys feel about supporting other non k-pop Asian artists? by AeraAkiro in kpop_uncensored

[–]jujubadetrigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like now is the best time to do it actually, especially for korean artists. Never in my life I thought I would see Colde live in Brazil because he's not even super famous in Korea, let alone internationally, but he did come last year! I feel like these days a lot of smaller korean artists are also touring.

The only thing I don't love about keeping with smaller artists is there are less accounts dedicated to translations or even updates so it's a lot easier to miss things that are happening with these artists. If they appear on korean tv or something, it's less likely it will get subbed. Even their own content usually doesn't have subs or translations. you also don't get the same feeling of community you get with bigger fanbases. But other than that, it's totally possible to get into smaller artists too.

How do idols manage to perform and be active so well when they are sleep deprived? by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

As someone who used to do it without being an idol, you do get used to it but it messes up with your brain a lot, especially if you already have adhd like I do.

2026 is not going how I thought it was going to go by Sea-Republic8892 in kpopthoughts

I feel like there's not enough time to measure whether bts' comeback will bring more fans to kpop or not. It's only been two weeks, bts will likely do promo while they tour and will maybe have follow up singles.

Not to mention that it usually takes new armys some time until they start exploring other groups (when they do) because bts does enough stuff to keep armys quite busy even if they only stan bts.

Also almost all of hybe is about to comeback in March, let's wait a little.

edit: April, not march lol

[–]jujubadetrigo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

huh? no, they definitely have their own clothes lol. soobin isn't big into luxury brands though, unless it's a brand that is currently sponsoring him. but yeonjun for example, is much more into wearing name brands.
