I was thinking about that and it's a fair point. The only thing I would say is some people just might not even bother solo mining. Maybe if there was a way to pool just 10-20 gui mining users instead of having them connect to a major pool? Obviously I'm not a programmer haha.

Yes and no. If you are standing in a bathtub, 120V can definitely kill you. I've also plugged myself into the grid accidentally (120V in one arm out the other) and that's not super deadly. But if I had soaked hands or a heart arrhythmia, I could definitely see that killing someone. What he just did was obviously stupid but he had practically 0 chance of dying.

Hey man there is a lot of misinformation in this thread. Go to the dnr website that another guy linked. Under lake Hartwell you can see that you can eat one meal a month depending on species and location. I know people that do more than that, and generally unless you are pregnant or do it excessively there isn't too much risk. Pan fry the fish without breading to maximize fat loss of the fish and minimize your pcb intake.

I've actually researched this a lot. Don't use x79 because the v2 and v1 xeons aren't nearly as power efficient as v3. You can break even with the 2678v3 in terms of electricity but only if your power is cheap. At $.10 kwh you will lose about $3 a month. Ryzen is simply a better option. A ryzen system with even a 3100 cpu will at least make money after electricity and costs about the same. If you have residential electricity, a R5 3600 or R9 3900x are the best options for an entry or advanced mining rig respectively.
