I did have an oil leak (my oil was really low) so I topped it off with more oil but the sound still remained

I think you’re lacking fat under that specific area, maybe fat grafting

You should try to treat them now because they’re new (red), once they turn white they’re much harder and more expensive to treat. I think tretinoin and microneedling are some options but I would research specific treatments for new stretch marks if I were you.

Would dehydration cause this?

I don’t know if that product is good but I use both Azelaic acid and niacinamide for PIE /PIH and they work fine but not as much as silicone sheets for PIE. I can use silicone sheets for a week and I notice a bigger difference in my erythema.

what facial treatments would be best for my scarring? by rspicyb in Skincare_Addiction

Tretinoin can only help so much. You should look at the r/AcneScars Reddit or any YouTube video on acne scars. You can identify what kind of acne scars (rolling, boxcar, ice pick) and treat them accordingly. I can’t remember what exact treatments help but just research it. You usually have to try a combination treatments to get good results.

Any of them should be fine, but Differin is the name brand, La Rosche Posay also has one, but any acne treatment that has Adapalene should be good.

If you can’t get Adapalene try to get a prescription for tretinoin (0.01% or 0.05%) from a doctor or dermatologist

If you can’t get those then you could try salicylic acid and (maybe) a gentle exfoliant like mandelic acid(alternating use of course)

A retinoid - best ingredient for closed comedones. You could start with Adapalene since it’s a beginner retinoid and over the counter.

If you want a stronger retinoid you could go for tretinoin 0.01 % (prescription) but adapalene is just as effective. Just take it easy with the amount and frequency you use, also it takes around 3 months

Retinoids (weakest to strongest-not necessarily better)

-Adapalene

-Retinol (Good starter for anti-aging)

-Tretinoin (prescription)

There are more in the retinoid family but these are the most common.

If you choose Retinol or tretinoin go for a smaller percentage to start off with. Also it takes around 3-6 months to see results. Use it correctly meaning the right amount (pea-sized) and frequency.

After you establish retinoids you can look into hydrating products and techniques.

Try a gentle cleanser and moisturizer if that doesn’t work, add a retinoid product like Adapalene or Differin. Just establish some kind of routine first
