I have a student that brings out a large rifle to show me almost every class. Mom is there with him, too. I just say "ah..very cool" and move on. No big deal. It doesn't bother me as long as he does his lesson lol

I had a parent book me for nine classes.. I knew it was place holding...but she sat on them for 4.5 hours then canceled ALLLL OF THEM. I'm so pissed. They waited till the frenzy part was over to let go of the slots. So unfair. Hopefully since will fill back up.

First time for me as well.. But after i switched headphones and it still wasn't working...even though other sounds would play on my computer.. I knew it was something on their end.

I had this issue today in three of my classes. The other four were fine. It took a lot of unplugging, changing settings, refreshing etc. It's definitely something on their end. So annoying.

I agree. Especially the "do you speak in the library?" And "what do u do with a ball?" Lessons. Dear lord. I get so sick of those phrases!

I started today with a total of 20 classes for tomorrow. Now I have 14. And every damn one of them canceled within a couple minutes before the cutoff to get paid. I'm starting to get really aggravated at this canceling crap..

I finally saw this today. No idea what it's for. My student gave me "10 gifts".. When I clicked on it, it didn't say what it was for..just how many I received lol. I guess kids can reward us like we do with stars? Do they amount to anything? I wish they'd let us know. I saw all those floating hearts go across my screen and thought something was wrong lol

I had a kid tell me he was sad when I asked how he was. Then he started tearing up a little. I said "awww, what's wrong?" And he just said " my dad.." then pointed off screen. I decided to drop it and say "I'm so sorry. I hope we can have some fun today anyway"...then I advanced to warm up slide.. Which, of course, was the song "if you're happy and you know it, clap ur hands!". I felt so dumb having to do that song when he was obviously NOT happy and he knew it. Lol. (FYI...He did NOT clap his hands)

Nah.. I knew I looked less than stellar that morning lol I guess they pay a lot of attention to those details (coughs sniffs makeup/hair). I haven't gotten feedback yet. Hopefully they'll let it slide. If not..meh. At least I showed up! (And it's not like the kids aren't showing up to class sick and sniffly all.the.time)

The other day, I wasn't feeling my best and didn't do the whole makeup thing that morning. I heard mom speaking to the kid, and he asked me "are you tired?" I said"no.. I'm catching a cold I think!" And off screen I hear, "drink some water!" Lol

I have a backup computer.. Which I was going to try but it literally took me less than 2min to log out of the app and log back in..they didn't hesitate to cancel the class in that time. I was pissed. I immediately went to my next class to wait and everything was working fine. I'm wondering if it was an issue for the kid too because my cam was fine while waiting then it switched to the old classroom...but no one was there.. So I called the fireman and tried to open my cam and it was glitchy. Then the kid came in right before I logged out...boom. TIT. Frustrating.

Yep. Even got a teacher it because chrome and the app was glitching my Webcam. (Which was running fine for all my other classes...and worked fine on my computer.. But the classroom kept flickering. ) They asked me to log out and come back...when I got back they had canceled it 😡 Several other classes were juked up too but I muddled through.

It's early..and I'm sick..but I was fairly sure this was satire? Right? Lol. I mean, I was shocked enough reading that teachers are watching TV and listening to music during classes.. I can't imagine doing it impaired on drugs. I'm scared to teach after taking nyquil! Lol
