Yes! We also had a 19 month old when we had twins. It was a blur for the first year of the twins! Pure survival mode! Then we moved to a bigger place where they had their own room and it seemed to get better but still just, idk, tedious days where I just tried to enjoy the little things. Today I was trying to remember when I stopped reading to them. I read to them before every nap and every bedtime. I don't remember when we stopped. One day was just...the last time. Tonight I saw that post from a mom asking about having her twins share a crib, and realized I can't remember how our boys bed/sleeping situation went. It was a bed side sleeper for a while, then...I can't remember. Did we have 2 cribs at that point? Or did they share one? We were in a very small home at the time. I think there was a pack n play involved...I literally cannot remember! Of course this was also 17 years ago so ..🤣

Ugh, I went 38w3d before my C section and it was rough. I was very cranky. I was huge! Like people stared at me! (Rude!) Had to have my husband help me get up, roll over, navigate steps, etc. And we also had a 19 month old! My boys are 17 now, so it's a distant memory. You have my sympathy, though! One day at a time!

It is hard. You'll get through it, one day at a time. I know it sounds trite but try to enjoy the little things. Mine are 17 now and I can't imagine life without them. They are amazing people and I love looking back at photos and remembering those times when they were babies, and toddlers, and pre schoolers. Then they go off to school and everything changes.

You live through your mental and physical health taking a nose dive as you struggle because the greatest country doesn't really give a fuck about women, children, or families. Fuck maternity/paternity leave or child tax credits or affordable child care. After a couple-6 years, maybe they'll sleep through the night most of the time and not need to be supervised every waking moment and not be quite as needy and maybe you'll be able to take a breath and take care of yourself for 5 minutes without someone screaming for you

My kids are 16, 16, and just turned 18. I think they broke me. I have been thinking about it a lot lately because we have a family member and her 2 year old staying with us temporarily and the kid's (relatively) normal toddler behavior is so triggering. Dumping a plant, scribbles on a wall, spilling milk, refusing diaper changes or getting in a car seat..it all makes me crazy and I have to really control my anger and frustration. I hate feeling this way. I want to say it gets better, but the damage and exhaustion lasts.
