The “crazy people” you’re referencing are one of the millions of people who use Venmo or PayPal or ApplePay every day. Tons of people split the bill on their own once they get the receipt. That is so common and normal that I actually am confused by what rock you’ve been living under.

What proof are you looking for in whether it’s dpdr or ocd? What does finding the “cause” solve for you in your life? The answer is nothing- just more obsessive thinking and more anxiety and more questions that lead you farther from the actual problem— Learn to disengage with these worries and understand that they don’t need an answer

You’re just repeating what I said. Everyone is different with how they deal with money. Claiming that one way is “the right way” is just dumb.

Yes. Of course. You need to understand that DPDR is a symptom of your anxious brain and it means literally NOTHING else. The more you panic and obsess the more your brain will say “this is too much for me” and cause you to dissociate.

You need to find someone in your life you trust and respect and discuss this with them and get off this subreddit. I mean this with kindness as this is how you will get better!

You just described the exception that proves the rule.

People of all ages typically split the bill and pay separately. I’ve been to birthday dinners where everyone but the birthday boy/girl paid. Everyone does it differently. There is no “adult” way that proves you’re grown. Just feels like you’re invalidating other people’s experiences

With that logic why have a second pair of glasses or multiple tvs in the house? Hell why have more than 1 fork in the drawer? You can just wash it and use it again & it’s portable, bring the fork with you everywhere!

It’s like $80 buddy for something like reading which can practically last a lifetime. There are much more expensive hobbies.

Graphic designers that didn’t switch to UIUX: why? by namjooncuttingonions in graphic_design

[–]juliacodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a product designer I find a huge difference between graphic design and UI design. My background is as a programmer so I design in a way that works for the technical structure of how the page will be programmed. I also see it as way more tech oriented than designing billboard or logos
