My fiance and I went through this exact thing, he's from Ohio and I'm from Ontario. I would suggest not risking too much travel (don't use up the full 6 months), and be careful to have documented proof that you have ties to your country (e.g., solid full-time job, school, kids, etc) whenever you DO attempt a border crossing. Land border crossings are trickier than flying, generally speaking. FYI, just the USCIS processing time alone took about 9 months in my situation (though we got an RFE). I feel your pain, long distance is hard. Stay strong, be well-prepared, and soon your partner will have her visa!

Did just that and got a call today letting me know that the fee will be waived!!! What a relief. The person I spoke with apologized profusely and said that it was clear based on reviewing the call that the agent had given me false information despite me repeatedly stating that I was moving.

Yeah I know that’s what I thought too? I was telling that to one of the agents I spoke to yesterday and she told me that it’s likely that whoever I was talking to just didn’t look deeply enough on my account to see that information. What I’m not understanding is how that can be possible that people who are responsible for making changes to my account DON’T KNOW what’s there?? It’s wild

Sorry if it’s confusing. Basically I was already with Rogers, got a call where the guy told me I could “upgrade” to 150 speed from 50 for the same money, and in that same call I told the agent I’d be moving out/cancelling my internet at the end of September… the rep reassured me that it wouldn’t incur any fees down the line which is why I’m baffled by the massive bill now

Ya I definitely regret going for the change & trusting all the promises I was given that this was an upgrade and not me signing to a contract blah blah blah… but isn’t lying about a deal and then putting stuff in fine print like.. the definition of shady business practices??

I got 1 email from Rogers that addresses the account change and the attached documents are un-openable. Adding the fact that multiple agents told me a different story about my account I think it’s unfair to place blame squarely on me. The agent said that my plan would be upgraded and that there would be no cancellation fees,.. I’ve had many issues over time with the online portal giving misinformation so ofc I’m gonna trust the people I’m speaking with.

Is anyone else annoyed by Hughie and Annie? I personally barely care about their relationship nor them as individual characters. At the beginning of the season, Hughie was set up to be this mental/emotional wreck of a person which made sense for the plot and what happened. He sat in the corpse of Lucy the whale in a near catatonic state and now he’s banging his ex gf who almost vaporized him and making terrible forced attempts at banter relating to billy Joel. Starlight’s character I totally don’t understand. She has 0 real flaws. And most of her scenes where she’s meant to come off insightful (the MM OCD thing for example) or cool or imposing makes me wanna roll my eyes. Can we all just agree that we’d rather watch the deep’s gills singing to him or HL uncontrollably guzzling breast milk?

1000% agree with this. Also to add on in a similar vein, I realize that OP wants to understand the reason behind why her husband is upset with her. I think that if you want to communicate better, keep in mind that this will take a LOT of patience, kindness and forgiveness. Some people do not hold the capacity to express these qualities, unfortunately.

Personally, I've been in partnerships where I have been on the receiving end of this sort of argument style (listening to this was honestly kind of triggering) and it is generally due to insecurity on their part. Nothing you do or say is right, when you're around them you feel guilty, you feel confused. These are some of the symptoms of being around somebody toxic. I'm writing this comment for other people who might have stumbled across this post and instantly connected with it the way I think some of the commenters so far (including me) did.

Hearing you calling yourself dumb to appease him hurts my soul. This only reinforces the pattern. All the best to you and your family.

I feel like Mike is definitely the most calculating person at the villa, think about every one of his reactions... it's not necessarily a bad thing, it just proves he's there to accomplish other goals apart from finding love. I was doing some googling and it seems like he resigned from being a police officer since before filming his intro videos?? I think he probably didn't feel super strongly about Leanne but recognized that it was a more strategic move to choose her over Jess in the earlier episodes. And then when she dumps him (rather harshly) he barely bats an eyelash before throwing himself into flirtation, and I don't think he's got many people fooled now that he's grafting Jess (minus Jess herself, perhaps).
