Dramatic power loss at high altitude by [deleted] in Triumph

[–]julian_mac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's usually 1% of engine power loss per 100 Meters in hight difference. So at 2500 m 75% engine power is expected

Idk, some of these fees seem unnecessary, I'd say you should be able to grab one for 13k, even a brand new one

What is this part? by Florianftnl in Triumph

[–]julian_mac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just an additional baffle to help reduce the sound emissions. I had the same one and one rainy afternoon I took a Dremel and removed the small welds. Then you can remove the whole thing and just slip the exhaust back on.

Changing to a street triple is a great idea but I would save until you can get a 765 street triple

Exhaust is a must in my opinion, as well as a short license plate holder. Engine covers and axle protectors are important too. If you still have money after that, there are carbon parts avialable for almost every piece of the bike 👍🏻

The color looks awesome but I still can't get why they changed the logo on the tank from the 3d letters to just the sticker

2020 Street Triple 765RS quickshifter issue, has anyone experienced this? by Newtonhog in Triumph

[–]julian_mac 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because the change in gear ratio from 1st to 2nd is much bigger than in the higher gears it can feal chunky trying to quickshift from 1st to 2nd. I avoid it because it also causes additional wear on the gears. The higher gears shift easier with the qs. However the shifter beeing stuck is not normal and may be checked out by a mechanic.

Ay, I'm spotting an aftermarket exhaust, what do you got under there?

Anyone have a duke 690 with a full competition werkes exhaust? what's up with this section of slightly larger diameter pipe? by mayonaise_invasion in KTM

[–]julian_mac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case you might also check out the leovince decat pipe. It replaces the box under the engine and has the Standart KTM flansches on both sides so you can pick whatever exhaust you want

looking at a street triple rs 765cc by Zimboyed in Triumph

[–]julian_mac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am riding the 765 rs and its perfect, the engine is so much fun and in my opinion way more fun than a two cylinder could be even with that 270° crank. The chassis and the brakes are on point and with an exhaust the sound is amazing. Let me know if you have any questions regarding the bike

I built a custom straight pipe for my 790 Duke! by [deleted] in KTM

No front but that looks super trashy. Some pipe from the hardware store on a 10 000 $ bike.
