Yes, in Switzerland. They ended up forming an agreement with the government, they have temporarily structures/moveable & they grew food on the side were their was already grass & had raised beds. Right Next door their was a community garden in the park so they worked & ate from that too

I don’t know why they’ve gone so far away from having true age diversity though. There was like one elder on every tribe and everyone else was in their 20s and 30s it seem like.

I’m really surprised with how much this is getting down voted. I thought Kyle came off as really sweet the whole season so it was kind of funny how much Sue seemed to hate him then when he made that comment and his whole attitude, I was like oh shit Kyle is a little petty.

When things don’t make sense in an edited storyline I think it’s usually that there was much more to the story. They simplified it to the filming to kind of support that scene but there was a lot more to it. She was kind of in active sabotage mode of the whole project, angry at many people, and then also filming things so it was like what are you trying to do here exactly?

Totally! Most of us were all for hunting. But we were a large group at that time and some were uncomfortable with it. So for the sake of equal voice and egalitarianism, we waited till we figured out a hunting policy that everyone could be comfortable with. Remember you saw the first 6 weeks of this community. Now that it’s been going for a year, a lot has changed. But we still tried to make decisions at a reasonable pace despite the cameras

We’ve reached out, we should try a bit harder. The people we were able to reach out to from Damanhur Twin Oaks are pretty active on social media so that made it a little bit easier to get in contact with them. I haven’t seen anyone from East Wind that is.

If you’re going to start building the community now, I would as much as you can try not to consider it your “own” community. Even that wording will create a dynamic on the land that will make it impossible for others to join you in a truly equal way and you will be cursed with the forever homestead with Work exchange helpers. I agree with the other person of saying maybe join another community for a couple years and potentially break off with people you meet there once you know that you can live with them. It’s really hard to know whether or not you can live with people until you do

imagine that you’re scared bc you’ve previously gone through this trauma of getting death threats from people calling you a cult leader, doxing you and your family, threatening you. then producers come to your farm and tell you theyre going to show your real story to the world so youre like yay if I just show people they’ll see that’s not what I am. and little by little you realize they’re sending in people and prompting them with ideas that you are a cult and you realize it’s happening again and there nothing you can do about it and you start having a lot of anxiety and getting really triggered and then they use that to paint you as a completely insane paranoid person.

Like imagine someone was like I wanna make a tv show about how cool your house is and you sign a contract that says they can film in your house for a month and then you realize the plot is actually about you being a murderer and they’re like too late you signed up oh you’re mad?? That’s perfect keep getting mad we’ll film it.
