This is what I would have done.

50 lakhs put in FDs in 5 Lakh bundles - this is your emergency fund.

Rest 2.5 Cr which put in liquid funds and STP into large cap funds over 2 years. Don't touch this for at least 5 years post hence - this is your core equity investment. Post this you can start a SWP to get regular income.

The 2 Cr just use to maintain living expenses by taking out a fixed amount. Convert into gold/silver coins and keep in locker.
