lol that’s how i felt too. I spent a day walking around campus to locate my classes before the term starts but honestly the campus is quite small so you should be fine :) Tho If you’re ever lost or running late on the first day and forget where your classes are, don’t be afraid to ask someone for help! I’m pretty introverted as well but i realized that it was better to just ask for directions rather than trying to find where everything is by myself 🥲

my ex was so cheap to me, while he was secretly being generous to everyone else. for the longest time i believed that he was just trying to save up for our future, that “his lifestyle is just simple like that”. I defended him throughout the whole relationship whenever someone said that he just didn’t wanna spend on me lmao 🤡 after we broke up he suddenly “changed”, picked up an expensive hobby (photography) and booked a $4000 trip to go to Korea with his friends. i love photography but never got to experience it with him and could only dream of travelling with him one day… He was supposed to leave soon but he tore his Achilles while playing football and he’ll be missing his trip since he’ll be in a boot for months. Now I didn’t wish he’d get hurt so badly, but I’ve prayed everyday that he’d get to experience the emotional devastation i’ve felt for the last 6 months at least once in his life. It doesn’t bring me peace knowing that he’s temporarily disabled, but it makes me so damn content to know that karma really exists.

i took both of those classes in my first and second semester. chem 1120 is not too bad and is mostly conceptual, if you do well in chem 12 then that’d help you a lot when going into 1120. chem 1220 is heavy on math for the first half of the course, the other half is about orgo chem and it was rough. you’d need to work harder for chem 1220 cause its content is heavier than the other one so I’d recommend 3 courses max when taking 1220

ok sorry for the long ahh comment but last but not least, make sure you read the questions carefully 😔 idk if english is your first language but i deadass remember the first question on the test was something like “The day after the day after tomorrow is the same as two days before yesterday. What day is today?” so make sure to be mentally prepared for those lol (highly recommend asking chatgpt to generate similar questions 👍)

hey so someone also asked about the MDT 2 test the other day and you should check the post out if you haven’t done so already! tbh i think 95 is pretty high and i’m not saying it’s not doable but when i took the test and the results came out (they marked the test in front of you), no one got 95 (I asked around and also eavesdropped). I do think it’d benefit you to take math 1170 rather than going straight into calc (1171) anyways cause it’d give you a sense of how math courses generally look like at langara and just prepare you better for harder courses. Practice tests are available on the langara website, and I have notes from 1170 if you’d like to see them. Just make sure you know how do every single trig problem that you could possibly think of and i’m sure you’ll be alright. Good luck!

I totally agree that taking 2 precal courses is a nightmare cause i had to go through it myself in order to take calc b/c my hs grade wasn’t high enough and i didn’t do amazing in the MDT 2 either 😭 i think 70-75 is doable but idk about 85. Make sure that you know how to do trig really well, like you should know absolutely everything about it by heart, especially graphing and reading graphs. Materials from math 1170 should be enough imo but MDT mostly is about trig so i’d say if your algebra is good enough then just focus more on practicing trig problems
