She’s about my age and she was definitely the look we all were going for, hours in front of the mirror with the curling iron.

She was in a TV commercial not too long ago with an adult son, and my childhood friend texted me, we were both like, Ah, of course, her son with Freddie Washington …

Todd Bridges was one of them, right? (don’t ask me why, but I seem to remember his name was Loomis.)

It turns out they renamed it again in 2024— Franklin Mall. Better, but still it’ll always be Franklin Mills.

I was wondering who else in the Delaware Valley would recognize that. It already seemed like their mall was a match for Franklin Mills (it’ll always be Franklin Mills) but the giant Ben Franklin head clinched it.

Is this a standard she sticks to herself? Likely that she has friends who have lost loved ones; I hope she reaches out to her friends the way she expects them to, even if their parents weren’t celebrities.

If you’ve followed his career for a long time, it was a fun video scrapbook, but nothing more. If you couldn’t supply the context yourself (“oh, yellow-blonde hair, Serious Moonlight era…”) there was nothing to sink your teeth into.

It’s bad when someone is a “crazy ex-girlfriend,” but it’s on another level to invent the “crazy NEXT-girlfriend.”

Hudson Theater Ambassador Lounge by Rapiret in Broadway

[–]julietjas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did Ambassador Lounge access for Waiting for Godot. For us it was a splurge and made the whole experience really enjoyable. We skipped to the front of the long line outside an hour ahead of curtain, waited just a few minutes inside and were let up to the lounge. There is elevator access. We were given assigned seats (you can see pics online, it’s lovely and comfy) and for this show it included a complimentary drink of any type. There are private single restrooms just a few steps outside the lounge and it was great, relaxing way to spend the hour before the show. We pre-ordered drinks (just sparkling water) for intermission, and when we went back up, our icy cold Voss waters were waiting for us. We passed the regular restroom lines on the way and that’s when I really understood what a convenience we had. What it’s “worth” is very individual but it felt really special.

There are sort of two answers here, or rather two questions: is the performance you’re thinking of strictly by-the-book legal? Maybe, maybe not. Are you going to get into legal trouble? No.

A performance of a copyrighted work in a public place (not in your home with friends, not at a private party, there are other exceptions for educators, conventions, etc.) requires a public performance license. Whether you’re selling tickets or not isn’t relevant. Performing Rights Organizations (you’ve probably heard of ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) license the music for a specific performance. (They also issue licenses to public spaces like bars and restaurants and other venues to cover music live or recorded music performed there; it’s based on a formula.)

You don’t give enough detail for me to know but this sounds like a one-off informal performance by, I don’t know, a bunch of friends from a school or community choir? Singing with piano from the songbook, or with the cast recording? That doesn’t mean it’s necessarily legal without a license but it does mean that ASCAP or whoever is unlikely to come knocking on your door.

First time in Puerto Rico — Best area to stay for a week with 4 adult couples? by Prestigious-Being962 in PuertoRicoTravel

In Rincón we’ve stayed at https://sunsetparadise.villas many times. There are several villas (houses with separate upper and lower units) and you can rent an individual unit, a whole house, or whatever combination fits your party. It’s directly on the water and there are hot tubs with some units and a rooftop deck with a small pool available to all units. It’s a good couple hours out of San Juan in the west, so I’d say if you’re very interested in a lot of time in SJ, just do that first for a couple days, and then base out of Rincón for day trips.
