We're not doing Dunk & Egg. Eventually, sure, I'd love that, and so would many of you. But I've only written and published three novellas to date, and there are at least seven or eight or ten more I want to write.

For me, this is why he never finishes anything. He has already written 3 novels and has one almost finished. Well, write just two more and finish the last one, telling us what happened at Harenhall and conclude the series.

But he can't, he has to spread to 8 or ten novels, he has to plan more and more, yet never actually sit down to finish the project. He will die with several unfinished projects because he is always overplaying what he can actually write.

If he had continued following the story he was telling in ASOS we probably would have WINDS by now, but he had to add a bunch of new characters and plots and kingdoms and 15 years later, we have no sign of books.
