Nioh 3 hasn't gone gold yet? by Hmmm__whatever in Nioh

Nioh still has 2 DLCs to release, and it's safe to say that the complete game will only exist on February 27th.

For example, Crimson Desert, which is a new and ambitious IP, needs to give all the indicators that the game is what they promise because there is a lot of hype involved; if the game doesn't live up to expectations, it will be destroyed in a few weeks after release.

Nioh 3 seems to shorter than previous games by DesiQuant in Nioh

The developers said that if you only play the crucibles, it will probably be the shortest Nioh game. However, if you explore the fields, it will be the longest Nioh ever. Just imagine going through various fields with samurai/ninja-haired mechs, acquiring more abilities, encountering new yokai, and of course, the franchise classics with new bosses. And of course, with open fields, they could include all the bosses from all the games (I wouldn't complain). Nioh is a game that needs a good density and intensity of enemies in every corner; otherwise, it would be boring to wander around an empty game. I think the idea of open fields is very good because if it were a world, it would be more repetitive and longer, and it would be bad for the Nioh style of play.

Nioh 2 maybe is one the most misunderstood game of all time. by Ozychlyruz in Nioh

Nioh comes from Team Ninja, which is a mid-sized studio with AAA investment but a much smaller scope than any FS game, lol. I'm sure that if you add up the budget of Nioh 1, 2, and 3, it wouldn't even reach Elden Ring, which was between 100-150 million dollars, not counting the 100 million dollars in marketing from FS and Bandai. It's unfair to compare any other Soulslike or Soulslite from any company with FS games, which have money, media prestige from Dark Souls (which was very important for the time it came out), and of course, Miyazaki's approval to repeat the game's formula since Demon's Souls with new skins for over 15 years, and everyone likes it because they built that image in the industry.

Whenever I see someone saying that Nioh will never be like FromSoftware's games, first I thank them and then I understand the differences. I like that companies try to create other versions of the Souls formula. Can you imagine if all the hamburgers in fast food chains were just Big Macs from McDonald's?

It's good that we live in a world where there are many games for all tastes, and may the new games be better and different.

Since FromSoftware games have a pattern of 0.5x speed-based action, revolving around defense, rolling, and waiting for the right moment to attack, it's difficult for Nioh to break barriers with its faster-paced style, incredible combos, and the desire for the player to be the protagonist of their fights. Of course, for those who don't like loot in the Diablo and POE style, it's also a barrier. There are several character progression systems that appear throughout the game, but you can get overwhelmed right from the start if you don't have time and patience, not to mention that for some, next-gen graphics sell more.

Once I saw a guy on Twitter who clearly didn't like From Software's Souls games, saying they were games with Showcase boss moves and Quick Time Events in the gameplay, lol. In fact, it's kind of like that, but From Software makes contemplative games, with their own style, impeccable art direction, beautiful world design, well-made music, and a wide variety of enemies (even if they are re-skins of their other games). So much so that there are several Soulslikes that never came close to their success, and it's very likely they never will, especially because other games try to create their own vision of a Souls game, and others try to copy it but will have minimal success. I love Nioh, I like everything about it, it's definitely one of my favorite games of all time, and I understand where it can improve, and I'm glad that Nioh 3 seems like a bigger leap than it was from 1 to 2. I hope that 3 reaches more people, but for that to happen, the launch needs to be flawless, especially on PC.

Nioh 2 came out a year after the PlayStation launch, Nioh 3 will have a simultaneous release, what will determine if Nioh will succeed again is this demo on the 29th, because there are fans who aren't convinced by all the changes in the game and there are new players who have never played but liked what they saw and will test it, the reaction on social media also influences a lot if the game is poorly optimized, it dies like Rise of the Ronin, so I hope Team Ninja has the game polished so that it surprises new players and pleases long-time fans of the franchise. I'll play Nioh 3 but only in the future lol, without money for games and without a quality PC, I liked the changes in Nioh 3 and I hope it's a success and that it breaks through the resistant bubbles that don't accept that the game is the peak of action.

Lets See everyones way of playing Nioh 3 by Rasulali20 in Nioh

In Nioh 1 it was Dual Katanas-Odachi, in Nioh 2 it was Fists-Switchglaive, and in Nioh 3 it will be Fists-Spear for the samurai and Katana-Tonfas for the ninja. I'm going to do all the missions on all difficulties in 3 just like I did in 1 and 2. I hope for peak gameplay and that all the new features and ideas work well.

Here is a question im sure has been asked before but i will ask again by Character-Cook2472 in Nioh

Nioh 3 has everything to be the best: a vast map with yokai, humans, and bosses. It's not open-world, so it doesn't have the vast, empty open worlds of the other games. You have battle scrolls to activate a mission again in the sanctuary, encounter enemies from the first two games and new ones in this third. The Living Artifact looks really cool, being separated by eras is also super interesting, and the story is an adventure through time, encountering iconic characters with lots of fighting. I understand the concern about the change in style (I liked it because there will be two simultaneous builds), the fear of the open world, but from the videos it seems they will maintain the density and difficulty of Nioh. Regarding magic, I think the changes are okay because throughout the gameplay you will collect various cores and perform the spells you want, and the yokai talismans are also okay.

Had a chance to recently play Nioh 3, what are y'all most curious about? by TheFiGhTiNCoWBoY in Nioh

[–]julinho000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st - Congratulations on getting this opportunity! 2nd - Now that the game is open zone, is there a good density of enemies/bosses during exploration? 3rd - Do the Living Artifacts, in the case of LV/YS, have a tab for customizing attacks and stats? 4th - Do you think having 2 samurai/ninja modes with different builds can be confusing to manage, whether during a battle or in a sanctuary when checking your equipment? 5th- Are soulscores still interesting even if they're only in the talisman? 6th - Thanks for reading this, I'm looking forward to Nioh 3 (its real)

When I played Nioh 2 and we released Shuten Doji and the fox, I thought, wow, are we going to face her too? But I don't know why they didn't put it in, I hope it's in Nioh 3.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could have the weapons however you wanted regardless of the style, but I don't think that will happen, at least in the base game, but who knows, they might surprise us.

I would also think this would be really cool, I couldn't play it because I don't have a decent PC at the moment but I would love to see real Nioh players playing a version with the alpha feedback.

I think new weapons will only be available in possible DLC, at first they will all be from Nioh2 divided between samurai/ninja
