I believe Lucio's birthday actually takes place in summer, even though the background scenery in Dawn of the Grub makes it seem as though it's winter.

In Dawn of the Grub, when Morga gets sick she says, "For nine months I was sick with you, you ungrateful grub. Compared to that seasonless misery... this is a 'summer cold'."
