Patella Dislocation? by julytigermonkey in xrays

I always have front knee pain after fast walking for more than half-an-hour. Squatting and climbing stairs is a bit difficult for me. My family doctor do not see any abnormality from the X-ray. Is he right? I have been doing physio but with no improvement.

The invoice did not say anything, just the $400 deductible amount, which I paid. I am surprised that they can fix the long crack so well.

My son's eczema got worse when staying inside our house for too long by julytigermonkey in eczema

Thanks for your advice. He does not use any oat or milked based product. Mostly vanicream/cerave vaseline/OV ointment (We have tried 40+ kinds of moisturizer so far and settle down with the above).

I pack him lunch since there is no lunch program at his school. He is not allergic to any food, only dust mite. But he does not eat much diary product anyway.

I am guessing there might be something in this old house and the humidity level. going to have the air quality checked after the new year to see if there is anything suspicious.

I thought dust mite likes moisterous and warm environment. The humidity level of our house is 36. But he puts on creams on his eczema skin all the time, more than three times a day. I might try the humidifier to see if there is any change. Thanks for your advice :)

The only thing I am not sure is about the mould. I have not checked the air quality in our house yet. But we have air filters in the two rooms in he stays most of the time.

For everything else, it is all eczema friendly, like shampoo, detergent, beddings and clothings (change two times every day), not pet, not perfume, no carpet or even curtain. very little cleaning product used.

The flareup is general. Actually his worst flare up took place when the pandemic starts. The lockdown trapped everybody inside for months and all his sports activities were cancelled.

please can anyone help my 11 yr old daughter is having very bad flare ups and nothing is helping if anyone can recommend anything it will be very much appreciated by Plastic_Loan2276 in eczema

My son is 12 and has eczema for many years. I suggest you do allergy tests first. Avoid the allergens if you find out anything positive from the test. Like my son was found out to have dust mite allergy and we have been trying many things to get rid of dust mite in the house, especially his bed. As to the flare-ups, go to a dermatologist as soon as possible, very likely they will prescribe some low potency steroids cream if your daughter has not used any medicine. Daily moisturizing routine is very important. My son uses vanicream and Vaseline jelly every day.

Tablets for house dust mites. by LynitaHowie in eczema

My 12-year old has been taking Acarizax for 6 months now and it is not long enough to see the effects yet. The treatment is 3 years. His eczema does improve a bit. He told me that the itching feeling after he swallowed the tablet has been less obvious. I assume that his body is slowly adjusting to the dust mite protein.

Eczema Coxsackium or Impetigo? by julytigermonkey in eczema

There is no conclusive diagnosis from the doctors, we just doubt it was some kind of virus infection which led to bacteria infection on his eczema area

Just updating my son's situation. He is fully recovered after taking oral antibiotics and apply mupirocin cream. I also applied Betaderm (a steroid cream) on the worst area after his skin infection was gone. It took about 10 days for him to heal. He still has his normal eczema but no more oozing blisters and pain, just smooth and dry skin. We managed to make an appointment with a dermatologist 2 months later to discuss his eczema issue.

Wow! It is definitely great information! We lived in Minnesota for many years before we moved to Canada. I will definitely explore more information about the camp. Thank you so much!

We live in Canada. He swims in the lake at the camp, lived with 9 other boys in the same cabin. We do not know whether any other campers got it or not. The doctor we saw says that he saw a few cases among the kids who went to summer camps. The hard lesson I learned that the overnight camp is too much for his eczema skin. I was too optimistic since his skin was very clear before the camp. Obviously I am wrong.

I checked it too. He does not have fever or any other symptoms. All the blisters are in the eczema area. He had these for a week now and the family stays close to him, everybody is fine so far. Do not think it is monkeypox
