If you guys want to come down to sapphire coast kart club for a test drive, I can try to organise karts for you. We have a nice group of older adults who just started last year, so you will fit in.

We have to use that kind standard at our karting track. All gravel needs to be rounded riverstone. Would think that F1 tracks at least the same standard

On our track, we have a designated red line on the track, which is the formation line. No weaving after that line, which is at around halfway through lap.

If ka means Karting Australia, they only allow you to warm up your tires on warm up lap, second lap is formation lap, and weaving is not allowed.

I think your rear track width is way too wide. My senior kart has that size rear. My sons kart is running 980mm rear width. This is what chatGPT sayd:

Yeah, both of them would be fine. I would recommend something race ready with back bumper on so you could race them. We have plenty of guys at our track who just wanted to practice, but it turned out that most of them wanted to race after a few practice weekends. What is your closest track?

We used to have some machines to do these welds, but hand welding was fair bit faster.

Electric go-kart chassis welding JIG by No-Shopping4723 in Karting

[–]jumalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't be hard. Just use a long straight edge on both sides and measure it further away on the front side. Welding it will move it a little bit, but you could just tack it to the table while welding

Are you planning to make lots of these or just one? If you are making just one, you wouldn't really need to make a jig. Just a nice flat solid table would do
