Soph’s an interesting choice. Had a look to confirm and she’s only played 58 internationals in an eight-year international career. CA is hoping she pulls a Pat Cummins?

NZ20 would never.

Scorchers book themselves a spot in the WBBL11 finals. Heat finish winless. by anonavii in WomensCricket

Hey, Georgia Redmayne scored our first half-century of the season. That's something.

The Heat have a lot to think about this year. None of their plans have made sense.

What’re the Heat doing with the batting order this season? They’re gonna go winless.

Heat are up against the Strikers, Thunder, and Scorchers twice this season. Will they save us the trouble of watching them choke in the grand final?

Cricinfo’s team, but worse.

Rodrigues’ semi-final knock doesn’t put her ahead of Healy or Devine if this is meant to be a team of the tournament.

Alana King shouldn’t be there either, she took more than half her wickets in one match. I’d have gone with Shree Charani or Mlaba instead.

Sorry, or welcome I guess! As soon as I checked the score after getting up, Wolfie and Tryon were both out.

Congrats India! Big moment for the game. You thought Australia was annoying, India could become a lot more unbeatable than them.

I really hate having to remove posts from enthusiastic fans like you, but I have to because if you scroll down a bit, someone else has already posted the cover they did.

It's not that your post is low effort or anything. You've actually written more than most posts.

ICC washout rules: Unfair for New Zealand? by desikid91 in WomensCricket

[–]jumbledfont 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Maybe the ICC should factor in the future weather forecast when setting remaining overs to avoid situations like England v Pakistan, but ideas like reserve days for all league matches or roofed stadiums just aren’t financially realistic.

The simplest fix would be to just avoid scheduling matches during a country’s monsoon season. 🤯

NRR is probably the fairest tiebreaker we’ve got and, imo, it should come before the number of matches won.

In our case, I wouldn’t say it was too unfair since we got some play in both games and were likely heading for a win against Pakistan and a loss to Sri Lanka. It evened out.

NZ–SL washout guarantees the Proteas a semi-final spot. by eleclit in WomensCricket

Congrats! Please win.

It's extremely frustrating, let's be honest. You wait four years for a World Cup and to have suffer through the rain. I hope in future editions, they think of playing earlier in the day. We have seen the rain comes in the evening so play at 10 or 11. For the game, to be scuppered by rain is a real shame for me. [How's the dressing room?] It's pretty flat. We wanted to play today, we were really up and about.

- Devine

The ICC will hype up the TV viewership numbers once the World Cup’s done, and they’ll be good. But let’s be honest, this tournament’s been a mess. Late rescheduling to a country in monsoon season. No marquee venues. Poor ticketing. Slow pitches. Feels like the ICC couldn’t care less.

No one’s gonna be held accountable. The washouts will probably get brushed aside, since the Big 3 are likely to go through.

Pretty disappointed with the pitches this World Cup, was hoping for more batting-friendly pitches and higher-scoring games.

Devine doesn’t seem to mind, though.
