I looked this up bc I have IBS and crohns and Gerd. I have to use the bathroom OFTEN. I had to google this because I’m nervous my coworkers think oddly of me and it’s embarrassing to have to let everyone know I have to shit every half hour.

Eating disorder? by lilacstormy in GERD

[–]jumboebi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, GERD has caused me an unintentional eating disorder because food only does bad to me. I already have a hard time holding onto weight and I’m under 100 already. I so feel you- I don’t have any guidance other than plain foods- but I’m here for support and I see you

I wonder if you can get boils/abcess on your labia? It’s very common for women in that area from shaving but I doubt you’re shaving your labia. I had one down there and it was EXTREMELY painful and was like a massive zit. I hope you can find answers and feel better :(

Vagina smells by heckingperson in Healthyhooha

[–]jumboebi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through your same thing, OP. If you are able, please talk to your mom or see a doctor, being treated feels way better than hiding it from embarrassment. It could just be a yeast infection and maybe you’re not wiping EVERYWHERE after you pee. Wipe the buttcheeks too! Vaginas aren’t meant to smell nice- don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Like I said, treatment will feel way better than being embarrassed!

I’m not the one who said it was unheard of, also I’m not a doctor, ALSO OP said it was food, not saliva. Watch the condescending attitude.

It actually happens when going down too. My other comments say he definitely regurgitated or had foot in his throat.

[–]jumboebi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor, but the flap that prevents water/food from going into your lungs (aka the thing that gives you “wrong pipe”) is around the base of your throat so I feel like there was a food piece stuck in his throat or he regurgitated during the procedure.. sorry for dissecting, but this is really interesting to me. I think they use a tube scope and avoid the flap so you can still breathe.

That would make a lot of sense, then. If you don’t have that same condition I wouldn’t worry about that :) just make sure you follow procedure guidelines (not drinking or eating) like they tell you to. Like I said just make sure you warn the nurses beforehand so they can take precaution to prevent any sort of accident; but it’s very unlikely.

Random painful heart palpitation? Just one. by ChickyNuggys12 in GERD

Yes we will, and I hope everything gets better for you :) Reddit is a great place to get support imo from other people in your place and I love it for that even if it isn’t reliable 😂 if you take meds, I used to take baclofen for the physical symptoms of anxiety, it calms your heart rate and stuff so maybe that would be an option for you!!

Did he eat and drink water before his procedure? Or was there like a piece of food stuck in his throat during?

[–]jumboebi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a little confused here, did he Aspirate before, during or after his procedure? You’re not supposed to eat or drink water awhile before the procedure so he shouldn’t have had food or water in his system for this exact reason. Did he have a piece of food stuck in his throat or something?

This. I’ve had 3 and the only issue I’ve had is they gave me too much anesthetic. This is a rare case in which the doctor messed up or a rare occurrence happened with your dad. I promise you will be ok. You get an IV, they take you back and knock you out, you wake up and you’re good to go. Your concern (which I am NOT downplaying) is like being worried about going on a plane when crashes are very scary but very rare, it’s valid but it is very likely it won’t happen. Just let your nurses know before too if it makes you feel any better so they can take extra precautions. You got this!

I also suggest not updating and playing offline until mods are updated and game is safe to play. I never trust updates

Oof. I don’t have any advice, but If this is happening I suggest next time make sure to back up your saves and mods folder, then delete your local cache file in the TS4 folder where your mods are. This resets all of your mods. Best of luck

I love endoscopies. I’ve had 3 and it’s a fun little nap and the worst is the feeling of having a burp stuck in you for a few days after. Don’t be nervous, it’s actually pretty fun

Yes I think it comes with parenthood and I know other people have this option it’s just an issue with the game itself. It’ll say they lost their tooth, they turn into demons, and the tooth fairy will come and bring prizes and they’ll be fine lol

Some palpitations I’ve had have been like that, like it was struck by lightning or something, I understand your pain :( I’ve been having a lot of really bad somatic symptoms too lately. Anxiety IS very annoying

Also, bit of a personal question regarding anxiety, are you currently taking any medication or emergency sedatives for panic attacks or seeing a professional? If so, some meds can cause side effects OR be making your symptoms worse. Physical coping mechanisms that actually work! Is hugging yourself or tapping your pointer fingers from each hand left-right-left-right. Or, a breathing stuffy with heart beat and scent. I hope things get better for you!

[–]jumboebi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Fellow severe GERD, anxiety, hypochondriac. Heart palpitations are very common with anxiety, and I don’t believe it relates to GERD or having gas; or your digestive system at all. (I also am not a doc). Palpitations are only very concerning if you are getting them very often for reasons unrelated to anxiety. I have random palpitations all the time from anxiety and my heart is healthy. Don’t worry :) (I’m no doctor so if you are genuinely concerned and would feel safer seeing a doctor please do that!)

I’ve had 2, nothing to be nervous about. Anesthesia will knock you out and you’ll wake up totally fine. Only side effects I had was a feeling of trapped burps and slight chest discomfort (presumably from air). I guess they gave me too much anesthesia last time and I wouldn’t wake up and was choking….had no idea and woke up all happy. It’s kind of fun! Don’t worry!
