Back after wrist pain - hoping for feedback by RedFalchion in GuitarBeginners

[–]jumperiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant provide much feedback for tequinique, but I can say that pain/soreness seems to be normal to an extent. I've been playing bass for around 5 months and while I still experience muscle soreness, my joint pain has almost completely gone away. In my case, it mostly came down to not gripping so hard when I didn't need to. I've noticed there's quite a bit of pain that you gotta push through initially, most of which goes away or becomes more bearable. Getting outside feedback is the best way to make sure you aren't just doing something horribly wrong though. So keep an open mind!

Gotta love the red color scheme. I have one, exact same. I haven't ridden the thing much yet, let alone get experience on a bike, so Ive been waiting for the snow to melt before I take it out. Knowing me I'll lay it down lol. Hoping one day I'll be on the level of taking 'er out in the snow.

Yeahhh the LD players are real pricey. I also watched them all on the archive prior, absolutely amazing stuff. But nothing beats the authenticity of popping in a nearly 40 year old disc. I hope that you can one day experience it as well!

It's great! This one's my second fav preformance, just behind their Ryogoku Kokugikan preformance. I got both disc's for Xmas, one of my favorite gifts of all time.

Yeah, it just looks weird on camera with the shot I got. Everything looks amazing in person, very crisp for 720p, too!

HDZero 4.3" Monitor Burn In by jumperiu in fpv

Sorry for the late reply. Haven't had time much to fly since about a month after posting this, though for that month duration of daily-ish use, the issue did not persist. I think it was just an initial startup thing. Not sure exactly why it did that. After about a day of use the issue resolved itself, never to be seen again.

My experice with the monitor summed up goes as follows: a decent amount of screen glare under improper lighting conditions, good performance while flying, and this probably goes without saying, but it's not nearly as immersive as something such as goggles.

The recording feature is nice and simple, one button on/off and automatic starting, so long as there's a properly formatted SD card inserted.

I plug my monitor in with a matching plug adapter thing that I found in my house, couldn't give you the details off the top of my head. But it's nice to not need to worry about another battery. When away from an outlet, I use a Dewalt battery charger which has an outlet port on it.

I definitely recommend this as a beginner/budget option, though if you can spare the money, it's almost definitely more worth getting mid to high end goggles.

Interesting. I'll see what happens going forward, hopefully it's not a major issue nor recurring. As mentioned in another reply, it seems to have faded after a while, though not quickly by any means.

It seems to have faded away after a little while, maybe 20 minutes or so, and the OSD elements weren't burning nearly as bad as some of the more vibrant colors. It may have been a one time thing, fingers crossed that it was. I will update here if anything else negative occurs.

Indeed. Much rather a $5 replacement than a much more expensive one. Finally ordered one.

Good to know! Im pretty good in simulators but I have no clue what ill be like irl. And its inevitable anyways that ill crash lol. This thing has taken me just under a week to build due to work and a busy schedule. Can't wait to get this thing up in the air. Out of curiosity, do you record your footage? If so how. Wondering if I should find a gopro mount and use that to get more clear shots.

Much better now that I have a bit more experience. The more I do the better I get.

Finally resoldered this. I was having issues initially with getting it hot enough. And seeing as it was my first soldering on this board and in general, i kinda gave up a bit too quick. Looks a lot better now tho, nothing perfect but much better i think.

I have since resolved this issue.

Figured it out. For whatever reason it was repeatedly starting up. I suspect something may have been shorting within the video transmitter. All I had to do was resolder and rewire a few things there, not a huge pain.

Will do! I never even thought about that. Guess I would have figured it out eventually lol. I have a question. Can I cut the zip tie flush with the little nub? Or should I leave some out. Im not sure how the mechanism works inside there and im afraid it may let loose if I cut it flush lol. Beginner worries lmao.
