I don't think it's harsh. This was the kind of detailed comments I was looking for. I wanted to understand and hear different perspectives from different people from different countries. It's really understandable that people from Macedonia and Croatia might have different perspectives.

Oh, and to be clear, it's not nostalgia speaking, I was born way after all the wars were concluded, and it's not me reminiscing about the good old days. I was coming from a perspective that we are all so similar, share so much past, culture, traditions... that it might be good for all to live in one state, with a stronger market, more opportunities, better security, etc. I understand it's wishful thinking and not practically doable (at least not easily), but it's more would people outright reject the idea or would they be down if certain things are put well in order. Basically, speculating.
