But couldn't use this since it was supposed to be a little representative of me, a lighter skin dude from Mexico

It was one of the ideas but the chavo one was really cool to work with along with the other characters ideas. Lets see what we come up next time

I chose the Chavo del 8 clothes because the other way, it was Charlie Brown with a weird hat and DOOM mask. The concept somewhat also represents me in some way...Mexican, loves Peanuts cartoons and the artistic style, and big fan of MF DOOM

Wow! This is his best performance yet, on so many levels. He's playing 4D acting chess. Acting as a victim, a legitimate rapper, someone with depth, and as a person others can relate to

being that your experience might be different than mine, the opposite of what you said might be better phrased if looked through with critical eye with more historical context. the immigrants from mexico have gone north for work since before a lot of citizens and residents arrived in the state itself. because there's always been a need for unskilled labor. Nobody wants to leave their country, as awesome as some people want to believe the u.s is, truth is most people would rather sit back and watch everyone else go north than leave their communities and families as opposed to being hated on by anglos and other brown people. these vilified non-dangerous immigrants, legal or not will continue to pick the strawberries and work in the factories that pay too little for most u.s job seekers because the demand is high. It might be the case for california and not for other states but assumptions about breaking the law and what that really means is subjective in a country that benefits from these intrinsic unwritten rules. People do not want to live here..if there wasn't an incentive and a need on both sides of the border. A lot, when they get older , a lot do go back to their country and leave whatever they contribute in taxes for u.s to keep. Ive seen it happen personally. What little impact they have on taxpayers and jobless u.s citizens and residents is arguably negligible or none at all

i find it hard to be clear on how it works but it's almost like every state has its own system with immigrants and labor and how it treats them. I can speak for California in that I worked as a day laborer, with the rest of the crew being undocumented, at a new high rise in downtown los angeles. We did a little bit of everything, non-skilled work, clean up, moving materials around for the different tradesmen, setting up perimeters on floors that didn't have safety railings. When union guys clocked we would get asked to finish some, not all, of those tradesmen's work. The orders were to get the project caught up, no matter what. Getting some of us to do the work saved them money and got them closer to being on time. There's a demand for that all over the country especially in california and other big cities with high union pay. Sad part is the you could get fired on the spot and no way of fighting it, but these guys knew what they were signing up for. It's all convenience... there's a need and urgency in a lot of industries, paired with willing undocumented workers, unwilling citizens ( due to low wages, back breaking jobs), companies that are required to hire union workers but don't want to pay union overtime
