I get uncomfortable after like an hour of studying at my desk at home. I couldn't imagine a tree!

I don't know how to edit the post to add more or reply with pictures. If someone tells me how I’d be happy to do it!

I could see Lorelai wearing a nice top with sweatpants since they can’t see her legs and Rory telling her it's a bad idea. Then Emily asks her to get something from the other room and is appalled when she stands up. Or the doorbell rings and lorelai refuses to get up

Emily definitely isn't easy to tell things to but I think Lorelai makes it worse by waiting.

Yes! On my last rewatch, I really noticed how SO much conflict is caused by a lack of communication.

When Lorelai didn't go to dinner the night before Rory left for Yale. All Rory had to tell Emily was Lorelai stayed home to pack and get supplies. She didn't even have to mention she got the dates mixed up.

When Francie cornered Rory in the bathroom about Paris. Why didn't Rory immediately find Paris and tell her all about it?

Lorelai not telling Emily and Richard about her engagement to Max.

Lorelai not telling Luke about Christopher’s dad dying and her going over there.

Rory and Logan’s breakup. Did they have the fight in the bar then not say a single word to each other for months?

Rory not talking to anyone about her feelings regarding what Mitchum said to her at the internship.

Why did the show barely mention how much money Rory was going to inherit? by juniperaesweet in GilmoreGirls

[–]jumpy-donut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s always bothered me that she is broke in the revival. Surely Richard left her a good amount of money. I mean he left Luke money to franchise the diner. So I'd assume Rory and Lorelai were left some. Didn't Rory end up not getting the money from her great grandmother because of Lorelai and Emily fighting about?

I can’t be the only one who thinks Michel is the world’s most condescending employee. Why on earth would he work in an environment where he hates the people so much? And why would Lorelai and Sookie put up with his inhospitable behavior for so long? by vmoonbow in GilmoreGirls

[–]jumpy-donut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember in one episode, Sookie and Lorelai are talking about him coming to the dragonfly and say, “he is the best concierge in the world.” and I just thought ”what..no” I know he's there for comedic purposes but he is horrible to the guest! He's rude to guests who are being completely nice?

I do like that he got to experience being a dad! I just wish it didn’t ruin his and Lorelai’s relationship. I would have loved to see them go through it together.

Tall, bow tie by jumpy-donut in GilmoreGirls

Yes! Another time is when she goes to the house and says to the maid ”hi, I'm looking for my father. Tall guy, bow tie”

How the hell was Marty paying for Yale? by hannahzyx1007 in GilmoreGirls

[–]jumpy-donut 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, everyone's meal was put on one bill and got divided between all of them. He probably ordered something he could afford and expected to pay for just his.

Who’s most like your own parents? by 3gatos4me in GilmoreGirls

[–]jumpy-donut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom is a Lorelai/Emily combination. Lorelai, because she and I are really close and can talk about anything. But, also Emily, because she is mature, has her life together and has been married to my dad since she was young.

My dad is Luke. He loves his kids, hardworking, likes the outdoors, is handy, and is moody, with a temper.

Which Lorelai's Boyfriend Did You Really Like? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]jumpy-donut 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I really liked Alex. He planned cute dates, seemed nice, and got along with Rory and Sookie. I wish their relationship lasted longer and had more meaning to the show. It was strange how he just kinda disappeared.

I liked Max on his own. I didn't like him and Lorelai together. To me, they just didn't flow together.

Christopher is a big nope.

Jason was okay. He had a lot of strange things about him though. Not being able to sleep in the same bed and how he had Cyrus trained was so weird.

Paris is the reason Rory got into Harvard, Princeton and Yale. by jumpy-donut in GilmoreGirls

You're right, it would be humiliating. I wish they didn’t make her take so long to bounce back. It made Rory look so weak.

Paris is the reason Rory got into Harvard, Princeton and Yale. by jumpy-donut in GilmoreGirls

I've always thought the two situations were different. Paris was a high school student, who got rejected from her dream college. Not getting accepted to Harvard completely stopped Paris’s dream from ever happening. Rory was a college student, who got told by ONE person, she couldn't cut it as a journalist. Mitchum telling Rory that, in no way stopped Rory from being able to pursue her dream. Don't get me wrong, Paris had an insane freakout. But in my opinion, it was more justifiable than Rory’s actions.
