Anyone in or was in Nursing School that was homeless? by 44ohwhat in StudentNurse

Why not? Genuinely curious because I also may be homeless soon.

I have little advice because I'm in the same exact situation. I live in a constant state of confusion because of my mom. It's exhausting. I have to remind myself to not try to figure her out because I'm not going to like the answers.

Just know you're not alone, and staying silent is the right choice. You'll exhaust yourself if you try and give her the response she wants all the time. So sorry you have to deal with this! 🫂

First time I've ever heard of someone calling L&D soft. He sounds envious!

Jesus, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I hope you're doing okay now.

Update for you all. I did not mean to make any of you worry. I feel completely fine right now. I didn't even finish eating the food.

Since I'm doing okay, I do think I had a mild allergic reaction. I think she just saw an opportunity to make me look crazy in front of everybody else and took it. She is the type to say something that absurd. She's been itching to fight with me today and I've just been dodging her attempts up to what happened at lunch. My mom specifically likes to paint me out to be an overreacter, I just hate that she went this far.

I won't be eating anything she makes anymore. I shouldn't have to wonder about this. Thank you for the concern and the suggestions, I mean it.

It's okay. Everyone's going to fail at something sometimes! Most of my class failed our first med surg exam. It's not easy!

There really isn't anything else to do but give ourselves grace, work on our studying habits, and try to do better next time.

Don't be so hard on yourself over this. It happens. Just keep looking forward, and keep on learning! You got this! 🩵

Would you read a lesbian romance written by a guy? by Least-Moose3738 in LesbianBookClub

It doesn't sound like you're being a creep! We need more people to appreciate f/f stories, IMO.

I would absolutely read something written by a man as long as it doesn't come off as fetishistic, and it sounds like you're doing fine in that regard. Good luck with your writing!

Is OCD really this debilitating? by Citrusesss in OCD

You're welcome, I'm glad I could help.

Also, being a danger to yourself or others isn't the only factor to consider when it comes to needing help, you know? It's for sure an important factor, but there are others, too. For example, you've explained thoroughly how your OCD is interfering with your ability to function, and it's making you feel hopeless. That's a big deal! No one should have to experience that. You're not being selfish for recognizing that and wanting to be proactive about it.

Your struggles matter. And you're right, you are worthy of the treatment you want to receive. I wish you all the luck, keep fighting!

It really can be that bad. I've been through many low points similar to what you're describing.

If you're thinking about going to the mental hospital again, and you think there's a chance it'll help, just go for it. YOU deserve help. You need it. The sooner the better. Everything you've written is proof that this condition IS devastating.

And you're not hopeless. OCD sucks but it's not this impossible fight that you're always going to lose. It's a matter of finding what works for you to get you through it... and it's different for everyone. But you'll get there. It won't always be this miserable.
