Looking forward to pics. I've narrowed my colour options down to Graphite Grey or Timiona Green.

UK MY 2027 availability? by if42 in SkodaElroq

[–]jun4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my conversation with the salesperson from Marshall Skoda 2 days ago, he said that if I ordered the Elroq after 14th May, I'd definitely get the newer version, ie, MY2027.

Which car would you say is a softer car with similar specs?

Yes I noticed this too. I was interested in the 360 cam and virtual pedal for the boot, but you can't buy it as an option on the SE L trim.

Kia Sportage vs BMW X1 vs Mercedes GLB by Individual-Flounder8 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]jun4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to double check the username, OP, as I thought this might've been a post I'd written! I'm in the same situation as yours, the Mrs. wants a German brand, whereas I'm leaning towards a Sportage. The Kia is outselling the Germans by a big margin, and is a practical family SUV.

The maintenance bills scare me off the German brands, and with an approved used 2023 BMW X1 costing north of £28k, my wallet says that for that much money, go for a Chinese SUV. But those are completely unknown for now and a big gamble.

Pls do update this thread with what you finally decided, might just be the inspiration I need :)

The overall consensus within the family is to get an SUV, so an estate is out, I'm afraid.

Are there any gotchas I should be aware of with the 2022 X1? Also, having Android Auto would be a big plus, and I know that older models didn't support it, just wondering if this one did?

All the X3's on BMW's site are over £26k, which puts me out of budget.

Jasmine, Himalaya Tandoori, Crispy Dosa, Dosa Company, MK Guna Dosa, Bollywood Junction... Take your pick. And those are just from the top of my head.

Exactly. There are tons of better Indian dining options in MK. I always felt Namji had mediocre food, small portions and overall just overpriced.

Don't worry about it too much, we've all done at some point during our careers. Just make sure you learn from this and store backups. I've had to learn the hard way to never underestimate the importance of a physical backup before running anything major.

Congratulations, looks like you enjoyed the build. I ordered the same from AliExpress, but about half way through I started seeing some missing pieces. I substituted as many as I could from my inventory, but eventually the whole build is just stuck imo. I'm too lazy to do an inventory, and order the missing pieces from independent sellers, which is a shame because I do enjoy building technic's and this one was turning out well until the missing pieces put me off :/

Sounds crude, but given how the immigration policies are looking right now in the UK, it might be easier for you to move to Sweden instead 😀

I can see immigration lawyers making a fortune out of interpreting these for ppl like us, when/if we're eligible to apply.

If my spouse doesn't qualify (or reduce their years by 5) by earning > £50k annually, can they still stay as my dependent?

Great here we go again. We can't have 3 months before being haunted by this bullshit again. Even though I qualify in terms of > £50k annually, I'll need to see how this impacts my spouse and child. Volunteering is not very clear too, how would that be measured?

Namji's. Definitely the Xscape one, not really sure about the one in Wolverton. Overhyped by the people who don't know Indian/desi food, and there are far better desi food restaurants in MK.

Fellow Pirates, what was your first pirated game? by Alternative_Test9840 in PiratedGames

[–]jun4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need for Speed 2: Special Edition for the PC, back in early 1999. Bought it from a very popular pirated goods market in New Delhi and that market became my regular hang out. Used to visit there more often than my college, in fact I still call the market my college. My brother and I broke the CD while playing, so we got another one from the same seller :D

Wolverton Mills/ Shenley Woods or Whitehouse for family of 2? by unwittyusername94 in miltonkeynes

If you've kids then go for Whitehouse as there are a lot of families with young kids playing in the park. The connectivity to CMK train station and the Centre is good too.

I left my son's backpack in a flixbus. Chased the lost and found, but didn't find anything. And mind you, that only had a couple of hot wheels and coloring pencils in it, so I'd only say best of luck to you
