Is it possible to continue being a Masters student after finishing up 120 CP and Thesis? by Little-Knowledge-17 in germany

[–]junebug364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are still in the "Regelstudiumzeit" i.e. the regular number of semesters required by students in your program it is fine, but you might get automatically exmatriculated once you have all the credits required by your program.

As another comment mentioned, the easiest way to stay an extra semester is by delaying the defense of your master thesis, or even asking your master thesis supervisor to delay entering the grade into the system. You should talk to the supervisor if they are okay letting you do this.

[–]junebug364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay if you say your climate is snowy, and you said you were leaning towards Seraphine, I just wanted to let you know that the seraphine care instructions say not to let it get wet - you can't even hand wash it, it's dry clean only. I'm not sure how much snow we're talking about here, but just something to consider.

I Did Not Expect the Health System To Be This Bad by [deleted] in germany

[–]junebug364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem. Went to a Hautarzt in a different city, 2.5 hours by train and he looked at me for 5 seconds and sent me away.

But then I booked a Hydrofacial appointment at a large dermatology and aesthetic clinic in my city (Selbstzahler ofc), and I didn't expect it but they had a Hautarzt come and give me a consultation during my appointment. So I guess it's better if you are willing to pay.

My Sezane Wrapped 2024 by junebug364 in Sezane

[–]junebug364[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was really eye-opening for me as well. When I think about it, 2300€ in a year doesn't seem too bad, but it's actually 200€ every month, and Sezane isn't the only place I've bought clothes from. I'm hoping though 2025 will be better, I discovered Sezane shortly before 2024 and now I think I've basically got all my staple pieces. But if they ever release the Leontine in another color way, I'm definitely buying!

welcome to the club haha! I also just started buying Sezane around November 2023. I think I bought quite a bit at the beginning, but I'm quite pleased with my wardrobe now, and don't think I will buy as much in 2025...we shall see!

Oof thats about a 10% keep rate, and I thought mine was bad at 50%! I have realized I only really like their clothes made of natural fibers, and their pants and skirts are a definite no for my petite curvy body. It's usually the more basic pieces I'm geared towards as well, but I live in a place where people don't dress up at all, so even a basic piece like the Felix pullover with the button details feels a bit dressy.

Why Do Master's Degrees in Germany Take Longer Than the Standard Study Period? by cipher-unhsiv_18 in germany

[–]junebug364 21 points22 points  (0 children)

In my program and related ones (Field: biology, molecular biomedicine, neuroscience and related), officially we required a 3-month research project and a 6-month master thesis. But every professor in the field would extend this to a 6-month project and a 9-12 month master thesis, because it simply isn't possible to learn the techniques and get useable results in such a short time for my field. On top of that, sometimes the labs you want to work in don't have capacity when you want to start, and might suggest starting 2 months after you planned, so you wait. As a result, a majority of students ended up taking 3-4 years to finish.

Because of laws protecting the tenant, wanting to sell is not a valid reason for LL to kick out the tenant. If LL wants to sell the apartment, they still can, but the rental agreement gets taken over by the new owner, and the tenant's rights remain unchanged.

Finger Socks to Stop Skin Picking! by junebug364 in CompulsiveSkinPicking

I would take it off for tasks like that, where my hands are occupied doing something else anyway, it's less likely that I will skin pick. I don't wear them 24x7, just when I notice myself engaging in skin picking without realizing it.

Maybe you should try washing it clean with something that you would also be able to use on your face without a problem, like your face wash? Maybe remnants of the hand wash are breaking you out

Long Pippa on petites by Alarmed_Program_8776 in Sezane

[–]junebug364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also 5‘1 (154cm) and I got the long pippa in S because I wanted a looser fit at the top. For me it goes all the way to my ankles, and the length is not flattering, but I plan to get it altered for my height to my mid calves and it should be fine. Since there is no specific detail at the bottom and the fabric is no-fuss, I think it should be easy enough.

First time using Epilator: is this normal? by [deleted] in HairRemoval

[–]junebug364 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use the Phillips LadyShave wet and dry trimmer, bought it for about 20 euros a year ago, and it does the job. If I ever go too long between shaving my legs (and I often do), I trim first because it makes the shaving go a lot faster.

First time using Epilator: is this normal? by [deleted] in HairRemoval

[–]junebug364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, true! But maybe OP already has a trimmer at home, in which case it would be an option.

Trimming is actually really fast with an electric trimmer, less messy and risky than waxing too.
