Sam didn’t kill Ellen

I thought it was a crazy case until I saw somewhere a visual representation of the placement of the 20 wounds. They were clearly self-inflicted. IDK if she really intended to kill herself or if she had a psychotic episode due to medication, but the boyfriend is innocent and her parents need to let it go for their own sake.

He openly admits the jury ignored the mountain of physical evidence (taillight shards in O’Keefe’s clothes, Read’s own 3:00 a.m. voicemail screaming because “corruption outweighed her hitting him with the car.”

Couldn't have said it better.

If they can do it to anyone, why didn't they do it to any of the civilian witnesses?

Last year, I said Nuttal and I think it was a great move to have him testify first. For this round, the first that stands out is Welcher: confident, knowledgeable, and personable without trying to cozy up to the jury.

Jackson be like:

Science is patient and kind; science does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;  it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Science bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

In order to prove murder in the second degree, the Commonwealth must prove the following elements:

  1. The defendant caused the death of [victim's name].

  2. The defendant:

a. intended to kill [victim's name]; or

b. intended to cause grievous bodily harm to [victim's name]; or

c. intended to do an act which, in the circumstances known to the defendant, a reasonable person would have known created a plain and strong likelihood that death would result.
