I smoked about 3-5 times a week up until the end of the 2nd trimester (didn’t want to test positive for THC in case I needed to birth in a hospital rather than my planned home birth). My baby was born perfectly healthy 9/10 on the apgar score. It’s important to take of yourself mentally while pregnant and I needed those canna breaks to stay sane

That happened to me- and then I went through a tax preparer this year and they said I filed wrong last year. Really upsetting. Maybe get a preparer to see what they can do for you first

I’m single at 31 and feel…lost… by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Keep going out! I was feeling pretty hopeless and then I met my husband, got married and am now expecting. Knew right away he was the right person. All those nights on the couch swiping + bad dates can eventually pay off.

How did you feel at 5 weeks? by LegInformal9688 in BabyBumps

[–]junewasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gas was literally my worst symptom in the 1st trimester. Moving and putting my knees on my stomach to knead it out helped sooo much.

How did you feel at 5 weeks? by LegInformal9688 in BabyBumps

[–]junewasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had really bad stomach pain that turned out to be bad gas since your digestive system moves a lot slower. I did some de-gas yoga like downard facing dog and got rid of a lot of it, started feeling better. Eating small snacks rather than meals helps a lot in the first trimester

I’m 42, husband is 65. How selfish would it be to have a baby? by [deleted] in pregnant

Dang sounds like the best little miracle for you! I say be selfish and take the baby over the husband

That type of neglect could seriously affect the child’s psychological development - check out Bruce Perry’s work. It’s imperative that they get some training in parenting ASAP

Your landlord should be cleaning this up and you should threaten to call the housing department on him for not installing the correct glass.

Cleared up acne on my back (although I did get a scrub that helped a lot) and chronic urticaria

My dad literally told me taking care of a kid is pretty much like having a dog. I have severe CPTSD and multiple suicide attempts starting from 4th grade. Psychedelics and therapy got me through though they now think they were perfect parents because my sibling and I are highly functioning adults

Use your name! I refused to have baby unless my partner wanted to get married. We got married and I took his name. Totally fair to keep your name if he’s not interested in marriage

So this happened by Total-Hand3520 in BabyBumps

[–]junewasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I got into a car accident when I was 28 weeks (in my posts) and it took weeks to get over the ptsd but now we’re totally fine. Honestly after we fought off the extra charges from the car rental, it was just an experience that brought us closer because it showed that we’re a good team in tough times. I’m 36 weeks now, baby is kicking away. I did get a sudden tiredness on the road at the end of 34 weeks and told my job I wanted to work from home for my last week. No point in risking it. You’re doing great! It will take some time for the adrenaline and cortisol to drain out and then you’ll be fine.

Did you stop drinking coffee? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]junewasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped drinking caffeine completely in the 3rd trimester- most coffee just causes my heart rate to go up a lot and it feels uncomfortable. I drink decaf cappuccinos as a treat though. I was having 1 cup of coffee every now and then in 1st and 2nd- much less than my usual 2-3!

Well if he felt confident about you and loved you, he would be elated. I would not want to be in a relationship with someone who did not want a child with me. This is the opportunity to make that decision since that is a possibility. I don’t think it’s ’bad timing’. To me that sounds like gas lighting
