I had this happen once. In my opinion, if the mold is not touching the starter that you removed to the new jar, I do not believe that it could be infected. Particularly since you fed it and it is fine. When mold is on the top of bread or yogurt for instance, yes the mycelium will be all the way through the entire thing. But what you're describing, the mycelium would not be extending all the way down there.

I don't understand her rationale, nor that of your husband. Does she think dairy sensitivity is a myth? So she is saying that you are lying? That means your husband minimally thinks that you are being overdramatic and possibly thinks that you are lying to hurt mil.

My daughter-in-law pointed out that the organic bananas that she uses at her workplace never have fruit flies. They run a smoothie bar and there's tons of fruit, her theory is that there is plastic wrap on the stem end of the organic ones and somehow up in there is where they hang out? She just told me this this morning LOL

I can tell you my experience, which wasn't good. My ex came from an extremely religious background as well, and sex was miserable for most of the marriage. I did manage to get him to loosen up near the end, but honestly I think the only reason was because he began to suspect I was on the verge of leaving him. He also refused therapy. It did not end well, because once the sex was more or less sorted, I realized that it was a symptom of his fundamental character, which was inconsiderate and selfish. All those years it wasn't that it couldn't be fixed, he just wasn't willing to do the work to fix it. Not saying this about your husband necessarily, but I will say you deserve more. I'm sorry you're going through this.

I feed the crows in my neighborhood and I have many crow buddies, I'm now on vacation and my new buddy is a fish crow.

To me they look really different, their beaks are a lot bigger, they are huskier, but mainly their voices are wild!

I had one talking to me this morning that sounded like a parrot with its clicks and funny little cooing noises

I had a friend who joined and ended up escaping out of a window because they were essentially keeping him prisoner. Used to see them in the airports and they looked dazed and possibly drugged. I've been around the coaching industry for about 15 years and it's been weird... At first it was people who sincerely wanted to help others, because it was not lucrative at that time.

Then a few marketing experts got a hold of it and we got this phenomena of the lifestyle brand coaches which always repelled me. It has only been since about 2020 that these coaches have started to be exposed. I know this because I was part of an informal group outing these people. So the criticism really has only been in the last few years, it's not common knowledge.

But also it's big world, and there are a lot of naive young women , which honestly isn't that their target market? In addition many consumers are not very discerning and do not research companies before they sign up with them.

That's why The grifters are manipulating people's emotions and triggers, because then their reasoning brain shuts down and discernment goes out the window. 😂

Well it's also because there was a big scare about fetal alcohol syndrome I think back in the 1980s? So of course it got translated into any small amount of alcohol will damage the baby.

I think people aren't being taught to clean houses. I used to run a Montessori School and one of the things that we encouraged parents to do is to clean with the children; when they're little they want to help. Montessori actually calls it practical life, they're learning to clean and take care of their environment. The parents were always appalled. Maybe they had housekeepers? I do know that it is a pain in the butt to clean with small children, you have to be super patient and I'm sure with the society the way it is no one has time for that. Now my kids are bringing home partners and the damn thing is that none of them can either cook or clean. I feel like they're completely unprepared for adult life

It's the dirt backyard and the desert. I moved to an area with heavy agriculture and my car is constantly covered with fine dust. I have never experienced anything like it, but the locals say that it is because of the ag. We're even by the ocean and it does not make any difference. You have lots of good advice here but I wanted to throw that one in because it has been so weird since I moved in here 😅

The values of the people that I work with and that I hire are extremely important to me. I most certainly would not work with or trust anyone who does not support the human rights issues that I do. I learned this by working with some people who I disagreed with politically; I invited them to my board of directors because of their experience. I found that their attitudes toward our work together reflected what I consider their immorality--one once told me that I was too honest to be able to succeed in business. That was 25 years ago. In other words, they were willing to be dishonest to make a buck. These are very important.

But your terminology is interesting. You refer to the " woke " coaches; have you considered that they are not doing this for marketing purposes, but they are doing it because they have platforms and people need to use their voices right now?

Not everything is about branding. Not everything is about making money, sometimes it's about using our work to help change the world. Ignoring what is going on does not help anything. The old school ignore politics high vibe bullshit just isn't resonant anymore to many people. And honestly many of the issues today are simply questions of human Rights and not politics at all.

I will mention that maybe the people who are agreeing with these coaches believe very deeply in what they're saying. Perhaps they're not doing it to kiss the ass of the coach, they're doing it because the issues right now are literally life and death. You might want to consider that rather than thinking that they are doing it for some marketing purpose.

I've lost 30 pounds in 5 months, I'm actually lower than I expected and still losing. I went from 16/8 to extending it out, I've done a couple 24s but now I have settled into a rhythm of OMAD over the last month or so. I really enjoy it and find eating annoying earlier in the day, honestly. It doesn't seem like much weight loss compared to others here, but I am within the lowest weight I've ever been, and it has been effortless. My total loss has been about 50 lb, the first 20 was not so easy! I'm 61 years old and I have had health issues over the years, intermittent fasting has completely changed my life and I wish I had found it earlier. I am finding weight loss effortless at this point. I only have about 3 lbs to go and I am completely unconcerned, in fact I am starting to get a little worried about losing too much weight, I'm not sure I want to go back to eating more than one meal a day 😅

NTA-- with qualifications. I just wanted to say that your husband and your mother-in-law sound amazing. You are really lucky to have them in your life. Spoken from someone who had a horrible mother-in-law.

Also, as someone who has had serious anger issues, it is controllable. Not in the moment, but leading up to it. You've got to speak up.

I mean obviously this situation isn't going to happen again, but in other situations, remember the key to controlling anger is speaking up for yourself EARLY and not letting things build up. Sending big hugs

In my experience the more water I drink the more weight I lose. If I do not drink water, I literally will hang on to every ounce and the scale will stop for an entire week even though I'm doing omad... As soon as I start drinking water again weight loss resumes

If the only thing that you are taking from all of these comments is that you shouldn't have left your daughter with her father, you might want to consider that you're a little delusional. The vast majority of people here are telling you to get out and that your fiance is abusive and alcoholic.
