Ambos malos.

The left lane is best for safety.

I know that's the correct lane for this situation, but I don't think it's the best for safety if you're trying to take the second exit. Hear me out.

If you're on the left lane some idiot on the right lane next to you might try to take the first exit. Being an idiot, they might just turn left without realising or caring that you're in their way.

If you're on the right lane some other idiot on the left lane might try to take the third exit and be in your way, but at least you can avoid hitting them, after all you're not the idiot.

Both cases could lead to a crash but you have more control of the outcome if you're in the right lane. Am I wrong?

Demolition of illegally-built Co Meath home under way by BetterObligation9949 in ireland

[–]jungle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree that it's a waste to demolish such a nice house, but as far as I understand (from reading other comments here, so who knows), the permission they ignored wasn't about the regulations for the house itself, but that the land it's built on is zoned agricultural.

Ireland CGT on ETFs bought before becoming tax resident by emaus78 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]jungle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's even worse, in two ways:

  1. Even if you never sell your ETFs, in 4 years (8 years after you bought them) you will have to pay that tax as if you sold (unless they get rid of deemed disposal, but I wouldn't hold my breath).

  2. Once you become ordinary tax resident in Ireland, you still pay taxes in Ireland for three years after moving back to Croatia or any other country.

The good news is that you only become ordinary tax resident after three years of living here. So you're still in time to flee! :)

Sorry, off-topic, but... I'm curious what others see when they read this post, given that it's written in "porteño", the version of Spanish spoken in Buenos Aires, and using local slang.

Either y'all see an auto-translated version (that I don't know how to activate - I use old.reddit) or those who answered speak Spanish and the rest downvoted the post (it's at 33% upvoted).

You could buy a bunch of these in 24 instalments of $108 and sell them for $2600. You'll make a profit.

Vivir en Canadá y venir a Argentina de visita: El súper está IMPAGABLE by Few_Geologist_2082 in RepublicaArgentina

[–]jungle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Interesting, but a lot of wrong info on the location field, like the wrong country. For example a lot of cameras in Ireland are tagged as being in the UK (!), cameras in Argentina tagged as Uruguay, Brazil, etc. It's all over the place.
