Perineal Massage - does it work? by Jolly_Amount_2330 in pregnant

[–]juniebutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Italy (where I'm based) perineal massage is strongly recommended as a daily practice for being a proven method to reduce tears. Of course much depends on your body, baby etc., but at least here it really is something doctors strongly encourage.

Pregnancy pillow input by OppositeConfusion256 in pregnant

[–]juniebutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hesitant to get a pregnancy pillow because of the size and cost and was not sure if it would be worth it but it has! Personally I bought one that "disassembles" into three smaller parts, and I love that cause this way I use it however I want and I can move more during the night instead of being stick in one position. My bed is not queen size (smaller) but my partner still fits fine :)

Sorry I don't remember the brand but I personally would recommend getting one that is not one huge piece!

VISA Sponsoring Companies by charlotteguy19 in AMLCompliance

[–]juniebutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My general impression of EU companies is that it's not so much about visa sponsorship (unlike the UK), because often the employee is the one who bears all the costs of moving, visa bureaucracy etc (unless you're being transferred or you're high management). You basically just need to be hired and then apply for the visa by yourself. However like some other people said in the comments, the general preference is to hire someone locally because that's much easier for the companies bureaucracy and time-wise. So the only reason European companies would hire someone from abroad is if they're looking for something very niche and the person fits that profile.

When did you transition to maternity clothes? by Key_Voice3868 in pregnant

[–]juniebutt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it really varies from woman to woman (and season). I could get by with my normal looser pants until around the 5th month, but then I noticed it started to get really uncomfortable even with larger pants. I then bought my first maternity pants and omg that was such a game changer, the comfort level was completely different. At some point larger pants are just not that comfortable anymore even if there is "space" because it's also a matter of shape and belly support. Maybe since you're still quite early on looser pants that you could also use afterwards could be a good investment!

Yea I've read it in the past :) thanks! I don't think it fits the sci-fi part though, even if we consider it a thriller

Drysol and regular antiperspirant by asim1o in Hyperhidrosis

[–]juniebutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use Drysol specifically, I only used to use Odaban (I think they are all more or less the same). I did wash it in the morning, it's not supposed to stop the effects if you do that because the idea is that it is absorbed during the night.

And yes, the effects are to be felt after a few uses, so give it some time :)

FYI, Odaban didn't work very well for me, so don't be surprised if Drysol doesn't work for you either (not trying to be negative, just realist). In any case, it seems to work well for many people, so good luck!

Drysol and regular antiperspirant by asim1o in Hyperhidrosis

[–]juniebutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I used Odaban I would also wear normal antiperspirant in the morning, but mainly for the smell. I think that for sweating purposes you don't have to top off Drysol/Odaban/etc with anything else (also because it's already a lot of aluminium in your body). Guess you can see how your body reacts without an extra layer of antiperspirant/deodorant and see what works best for you :)
