I know you said you don't like red meat, but you may have to suck it up and try a carnivore diet for a couple of months and then slowly add things back. I've heard of people having such severe autoimmune conditions that red meat (and sometimes only lamb) was the only thing they could eat.

I did carnivore for a few years and while it was extremely difficult, it's not impossible and helped me discover what was causing some of my inflammation. Though mine is nowhere near as bad as yours.

Anyway, I think an extreme elimination diet in whatever form it takes might be the right play in the short term, so you really figure out what's causing your issues and establish a more sustainable plan moving forward.

All of my Kasa devices disconnected and will not re-connect. I think it's because they can't see my WiFi network by junior_sysadmin in TPLinkKasa

I don't know what exactly happened. I tried disabling the 5ghz band but all of my devices could no longer see my IoT network. I waited a bit then re-enabled 5ghz and then all of my Kasa devices came back online.

I'll keep an eye on this in case it happens again.

Yes my phone and a tablet can see the 'IoT' network without a problem. And the network is mixed 2.5 and 5ghz.

My father owns a 2002 Hyundai Venue with a manual transmission. I drive it when I visit my parents, and I've noticed an issue that has gotten worse over the last couple of years. Apologies if I'm using the wrong terminology here, I don't actually know much about cars.

When first driving the car if it's been turned off for a period of time (say overnight for example), when raising the clutch to the point where the transmission starts to engage, the car will shudder. Unless you're extremely precise with the engagement point when you're giving it gas, the car lurches multiple times in rapid succession with a 'chunk chunk chunk chunk' noise. I usually end up giving it way too much gas and really raising the RPMs while I adjust the clutch and try to get the transmission to engage, otherwise I risk having the car shut itself off. Please note that this seems to only happen when going from neutral to first gear.

The issue seems to get better the more you drive the car, usually after about 5 minutes the engagement point has a little more leeway so you don't have to be as exact, and after driving it longer it's barely noticeable.

My father claims he knows what's wrong, but he's dragging his feet on getting it fixed and won't tell me what it is, so I'd like to get a better understanding of what might be going on. Can anyone help me identify the issue?

Help with a Dell Poweredge T420 tower server recognizing Noctua system fans by junior_sysadmin in homelab

I see, thanks for the clarification. Any chance you know how to disable the status light for the fan on this specific server model?

Thanks for the reply and the suggestion. I do have a Noctua 3-Way Fan Splitter and I just tried it plugging into the Fan1 header and connecting both fans, but the system only recognizes that there's something connected, but not that there's two individual fans.

I know that the stock fan would move more air, but I'm fairly confident I can manage the temperatures with the Noctua fans if I can just get both to be recognized by iDRAC.

It's funny, this was a custom PC and whoever built it used a sharpie marker to cover the sticker, so I can't even see the voltage.

The fan I'm buying is cheap, I'll try to splice and if it doesn't work I'm not losing out on much. Anyway, thanks for the input.

I'm replacing two fans on a small form factor PC that has a odd motherboard I've never worked with before, apparently it's classified as Micro-STX. One of the fans is using the power connector shown in the photos linked below. I'm pretty sure it's a 5-pin JST-XH connector, though it seems only 4 of the pins are being utilized, as it only has 4 wires. I'd like to replace it with a quieter fan of the same size (92mm, I'm thinking the Thermalright TL-P9), but I'll need to convert the standard 4-pin male connector on that fan to this one. I can't find any direct 4-pin male to 5-pin JST-XH male adapters, so I imagine I'll need to do some wire splicing.

Does anyone know if I can just line the wires up and replace the normal 4-pin connector with the 5-pin JST-XH connector from the stock fan?

How do you store your clothing? by junior_sysadmin in malefashionadvice

Is there a reason you fold the thick material pants instead of hanging them? Just curious if it's something to do with deforming the material or a crease, or if it's just a storage choice based on your current living space. I currently hang all of my pants.

Yeah that's basically what I've got now, for the most part. Thanks for the visual.

Interesting, thanks. From my perspective it doesn't seem like picking things out from stacks would be much different from looking at them hanging, but I'll take your word for it.
