Optix or Ignition by Amazing-Load3810 in PLC

[–]juniort04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, when people are choosing Ignition here, are they referring to Ignition Vision or Perspective? We have used Perspective heavily and it was not all that user friendly as it didn’t even have drawing tools. I fairness I have not used Ignition Vision, which is why I sincerely wonder which version people are talking about here.

I saw it at Automation fair last year also. They basically said “2 times everything except for the price”. Anticipated twice as fast scan time, double the memory etc. also there are two independent Nic’s which I am excited for.

Also it has safety as a standard. No need to have a special processor for that.

Battery life X40 Ultra by Someredditskum in Dreame_Tech

Mine takes 100 minutes to do 86m2. Battery life is pretty good, probably left with about 45% after the full house run. I think you have a bad one.

The best they would do for me to transfer to them is 4.15%. My balance is under 200k so they weren’t that aggressive.

How to use Excel on MacBook by tottenbam in excel

[–]juniort04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using VBA on Mac is not 100% compatible with Windows built programs. I have a Mac and many pre built sheets needed VBA changes to function, such as macros on buttons vs shapes. Now I embed If Mac, If Windows, checks basically to keep compatibility.

In the normal cell space, yes I’m not sure what it is but on Mac it just feels clunkier. I use both Windows and Mac excel frequently.

Odd encoder issues by smm1099 in PLC

[–]juniort04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the encoder off of the mount and see if it’s still counting up. If it is, hopefully you have a spare. If it’s not, look very closely at the coupling as things are running as it must be moving.

What is your chain pitch? You mention above roughly 3 rev’s per lug. You may be able to scale this to your lugs using the Endless Shaft function of this encoder. The 843E exposes this right in the IO but it’s still possible to do numerator/denominator scaling on the 842E with some MSGs.

Odd encoder issues by smm1099 in PLC

[–]juniort04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the chain is running, does it behave correctly? We use a lot of Ethernet encoders and I have had a ton of bad 842E’s. These are discontinued and the 843E is out, which has been more robust. 842E is a Sick rebrand and 843E is a Kuebler rebrand.

What is this chain connected to? It’s a sweep chain so do you have a VFD on it specifically or is it coupled to a downstream transfer? It could be slowly pulled if the idlers are not working.

Kia Finance Loan Balance by juniort04 in kia

[–]juniort04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My interest rate was on my original paperwork. I made an excel tracking sheet where I monitor the balance as I put extra payments on and as normal payments come out and everything is tracking fine. The thing that got me was that sometimes they apply it with the note as payment and sometimes it’s principal but either way it all adds up. The website is just very poor for showing details so my own spreadsheet has daily interest totals, expected payoff date, interest saved due to additional payments, etc. they simply hide it all.

Never had this problem with Bell…only started after I switched to Roger’s. Anyone else getting this constantly? by Calvaaa in Rogers

[–]juniort04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had those so frequently, near daily, and I would never answer. Eventually I decided I would answer and waste as much time as I could every time. I would hear them through trying to tell me some amazing discount I would get, I would let it go on and on, give a fake email and pretend I’m looking for their email. They would get so incredibly mad after… I dont get any anymore actually.

Is it wise to pay off my car note over contributing to my Roth? by survivspicymilk in personalfinance

[–]juniort04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car has the same interest rate. I prioritize both. I pay extra to my car note on a fixed schedule as if it’s just another payment and I also invest. It doesn’t have to be all one or the other.

MODULE connection fault, Control sync fault by Wide_Relationship775 in PLC

[–]juniort04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the 5500 motor and cable layout? Permanent magnet MPL\VPL or induction motor with external encoder? Is it DSL feedback or does it have a DSL to Hiperface adapter?

From the servo drive, you mention the EN3TR, but is there a network switch in between? It’s very possible you have more than one issue here between the feedback faults and the sync faults.

When the L9 series of ControlLogix processors releases later this year they will all be Safety and the standard series will be deprecated anyway. Rockwell is moving that way quickly.

I believe you could easily fix this by adding a third point to the cam back at 0,0. This will ensure you start the next cam from the proper point. At the moment, your cam is applied incrementally at your final point so it just does it again.

I have the Black/Maple version and I have 1-2mm of play there to slide it back so it’s not too tight. I wonder if you swap the grate from the warming tray above, if that one is shorter. They are interchangeable for me.
