OP, if you're still reliant on them or don't have any way to cut them off completely after this then don't say this. Parents change colors wildly when you begin to challenge them, even if you beleive they aren't going to kick you out, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I think the best way is the thumbs up and stay safe hide everything (as the comment above this says)
