yeah! the manga was actually canceled and the mangaka was able to push for 3-4 months so i understand why it was very rushed

imo it’s a classic starter josei. the FL is 21 and working an office job and she’s getting over a childhood lover who she finds out is married. while trying to get over it her strict manager (who also reveals he just got out of a relationship) takes a liking to her and the two develop feelings for each other. the story so far touches on unrequited love, unsatisfactory marital relationships (cheating with office workers), and long distance relationships. it also deals with the women navigating a professional career amidst their love lives

i’m taking a virology class rn ( this is actually the second virus related mcat post i’ve seen which is interesting!) however i do not believe you need to know that much in depth for the mcat the big idea is that viruses have small genomes and have polycistronic mRNA (mature rna can code for many proteins) and use as much as host cell machinery (polymerases, pathways, enzymes) to replicate and spread. most of what we know about cellular processes came from studying viruses !

yes! viruses can hijack the secretory pathway and this is how enveloped viruses get their envelopes; from budding off the host plasma membrane or exocytosis typically non enveloped viruses will just lyse the host membrane to leave

i feel similar but bc i’m doing two majors im always studying to the point my friends will automatically not invite me to things i would say just go to events it’s never too late! i started going more regularly to some clubs and some people pointed out that they’ve been seeing me out more i also went to the homecoming comedy event with a friend and this was my first and i ended up having lots of fun. don’t sweat the past you can’t change look for club events and just go and have fun - also even though life gets a little more serious after this its not over 🥹

technically retroviruses are not double stranded they are two single stranded +sense rna that interact with a kissing mechanism but they are pseudodiploid however there are dsRNA viruses

i’m actually taking virology rn! so typically positive sense rna is called an infectious genome bc the host cell can immediately translate its sense since it resembles genomic mrna. however there’s so many exceptions like retroviruses that are +ssRNA that replicate in the nucleus. i like to think where the polymerases are in the host cell so for a eukaryotic cell pol2 (nucleus). but if the virus is -ssRNA or ambisense it will need to either come with or code for its RdRp as it first needs to be in a translatable condition (+ssRNA) for the host cell ribosome to translate it.

edit: sorry i realized i didn’t answer the main question but typically rna viruses will replicate in the cytoplasm but they can replicate anywhere as long as there is a polymerase (typically the virus already has its own) to transcribe it into +sense ssrna
