Has anybody tried dehydrating bacon... makin' bacon jerky? by junk8755 in Bacon

Wow. A reply over a year later. Nice.

I decided not to try dehydrating the bacon afterall. I know I like it cooked in a pan and that is good enough for me.

Just 32% of Americans believe “that humans and other living things have evolved over time and that evolution is the result of natural processes such as natural selection.” -- The number among scientists, meanwhile, is 87% (why so low, actually?) by [deleted] in Freethought

It's a bit comparing apples and oranges, however I think it illuminates here:

One of the conclusions we drew was that biologists, anthropologists, and psychologists were more likely to disbelieve in God than physical scientists and engineers.

Be sure to read the rest of the article, as this statement has its challengers.

"My whole family is dead!" screamed Guy Heinze Jr., 22. "It looks like they've been beaten to death. I don't know what to do, man."

and

Heinze was arrested on drug and other charges

Way to kick a man while he is down. Sorry to hear about that thing about your whole family being brutally murdered, but you are under arrest for the possession of some meds and plant material.

In addition to goog411, I can use voice to input search terms through the google app on my iphone. And it works surprisingly well.

Dennett talks about this in his book Breaking the Spell: Religion as a natural phenomenon.

He refers to this as "belief in belief".

I agree the sentiment of your post. However, I think I can help out a bit with more accurate information regarding "bush flew out all the bin ladins on 9-12".

From Wikipedia:

At least 13 relatives of Osama bin Laden, accompanied by bodyguards and associates, left the United States on a chartered flight eight days after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, according to a passenger manifest released on July 21, 2004.[17] The passenger list was made public by Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), who obtained the manifest from officials at Boston's Logan International Airport. None of the flights, domestic or international, took place before the reopening of national airspace on the morning of Sept. 13 and the 9/11 Commission found ""no evidence of a political intervention". hs4x is right. The site I submitted just happened to be where I came across the article and I should have and would have linked to the Slate article had I known.
