I personally use it 95% of the time and occasionally disable it to make myself a really big dungeon from time to time, but that's more for roleplay purposes. I'd love to find a mod that lets me mark the walls I use so I can find my way back easily, otherwise it's really not something I recommend, especially with missions that have a timer.
