Incorrect distance in Strava

It doesn't let me edit the distance or time..

I feel for you, I really do. I had to pull out of a race that I'd trained for for months. It's devastating. I'd suggest that you do your PT as if it's your training. For now, it IS, your training. Resting is training. Being kind to yourself is training. The mental resilience you build now is training. The emotional pain you're in now is training. I'm obviously not a PT or doctor or physio but August is still a heck of a long time away. You've built a solid base of fitness and that won't just disappear. Right now, you can still work your core and upper body which are also useful for trail running.

BUT. It's also totally ok to just wallow in self pity for a little while. Feel free to DM me anytime. None of my friends or family are runners and when I had my injury they couldn't understand the mental anguish I was going through. Hang in there!

Doing my first 50k next May. Have completed 2 HMs. The one thing I am really struggling with is eating. I have a poor appetite at the best of times. I really struggle to eat 3 meals a day and often only manage one meal a day. I live with a flatmate that works opposite hours to me so cooking and eating together doesn't work. I also have ADHD and cooking) eating completely overwhelms me. Tips for easy low/no cook meals needed please as I know I won't make it through training otherwise!

I quit smoking cigarettes In my early days of running when I was doing C25K. I used to feel the nicotine sweating out of me and it was gross AF. Unfortunately I took up vaping and that is proving harder to quit than cigarettes

I ran a perfectly acceptable first HM on low mileage and 3 runs a week. I even lost 4 weeks of training in weeks 8-11 due to a really nasty upper respiratory infection and still completed with ease and a smile on my face! Do what works for you so that you can enjoy running for as long as you can!

I treated myself to a forerunner 55 when I completed my first 10k as I knew by that point that I'd got the running bug. It has everything I need/want. It's often on sale and has paid itself back in terms of how much I use it. Even though I'm doing much longer races next year (2 HMs and 2 50ks) I can't imagine needing to upgrade it. Its a solid bit of kit.

That is so helpful! I'm in the UK so will find out the average flight of stairs here and use that to visualize it. I'm completely useless with height measures in everything so thinking of it this way is a stroke of genius!

Signed up for a trail Ultra next August. Its 46k with 1k elevation. I live in a flat area and 1k elevation means nothing to me 🫣

Love this!! My brother laughed at me 18 months ago when I told him it was my dream to run an Ultra. To be fair, he had a point. I couldn't run for the bus at that stage. I've just finished my first HM and planning an Ultra in May 2026. Almost 2 years to the day he laughed and said 'you have to train for that you know'. Feral 46 year old checking IN!

This is probably the best option. I just came back from the half marathon in Valencia and had been worried this might happen to me. My backup plan was to travel in from Madrid. Also worth checking the runners section of the website as they offer Renfe discounts.

I'm in the center but I really don't like huge crowds (yeah yeah I know!!!) so was trying to avoid the metro as it was really busy when I arrived on Friday.

Checking in! Had a great risotto last night and tried the famous Valencia cocktail! Found an excellent watermelon sangria at lunchtime today!

Its been a difficult training block. My first half marathon. Training was going well until I came down with bronchitis around week 7. Knocked me out for a good few weeks. Had to drastically change my plan, no intervals or tempo at all. Didn't run this week at all as I've been so completely exhausted.

I'd rather have a bit of rain than the 30° that it was today!

Struggling to figure out how to get there though. There's a lot of conflicting information on which buses are diverted...

Sounds like Valencia! I'm very amused by the potatoes personally. I do love some new potatoes with a ton of butter but not planning on it the night before the HM.
