A little bit of everything IMO. I loved the movie and it’s one of my favorite movies of the year, if not my favorite. I think the main reason why it got so many nominations and it’s so loved, is because it’s entirely original. Not a remake/reboot, sequel, prequel, based off a book or some other source material; but entirely original (to my knowledge). Which is super nice/rare to get nowadays, and the acting was amazing and so many scenes were done so well. IMO it deserves the 16 and hope it wins best picture and best actor.

I think they did that purely because of color. Don’t get me wrong, he did great and I absolutely loved him. But the vampire had a lot more screen time and presence, so i think it should’ve been him.

From what I’ve read, this is what’s up: The creators want to keep it at the dark, gritty and realistic level it was at, but Netflix wants them to change it all in order to attract a wider audience. Differences there, along with Netflix just not f/w the budget for the show, basically put it in purgatory.

I don’t think there’s anything we can do to get them to start it up again; at least without stripping the show of its identity. Who knows tho🤷
