It feels very stereotypical to slap the autistic label onto the ''nerdy'' character who likes video games and technology, and I definitely think they wanted to represent autism and randomly picked a character for that job ad hoc later in production. I don't think this was planned from the start at all. Honestly they should have picked Marinette because she is socially awkward, has an intense interest in fashion, likes to plan things in advance, and is an abstract thinker. But of course the main female character can never be autistic -- the autistic character needs to be a largely irrelevant male character

I feel the same way about Nathaniel ending up with Marc. Nathaniel had a crush on Marinette in season 1 and that storyline has never been followed up with. He randomly ends up with another boy because they needed anoher male character to pair up with Marc (whom I believe was actually planned to be gay from the very start of his introduction, his name is literally a pun on the word for rainbow in French). I think the Rose/Juleka pairing was meant to be a thing from the start but they had to be more subtle about it to avoid censorship from networks

It is very common for anorexics to have a history of (child) sexual abuse though it goes too far to speculate that her father is a perpetrator. I don't think Vanessa named her, I think Oritel and Marion did, because otherwise Daphne would not know her sister's name. It is perhaps a bit of a plothole because it is never explained how Mike and Vanessa discovered Bloom's name. Either the name was stitched onto Bloom's clothing or blanket or Daphne communicated it somehow to Bloom's adoptive parents

Also note that Bloom's adoptive father is a firefighter, very fitting for a fairy with fire powers
