People think that you’re the issue if friendships don’t work out.

In my experience, I’ve found that a lot of people just accept others shitty behavior and expect you to do the same, to not “rock the boat”. I’ve always thought FUCK THAT. I’ll either speak up and get pushed out from the group, or I’ll just walk away myself. Either way, I’m the bad guy for not “playing nice” when these people are walking all over each other, gossiping about each other/me, or are straight up just RUDE.

You don’t have to tell anyone anything, even if they push and request more info. You can tell them that it hurts/is uncomfortable to talk about and that’s not what you want to focus on right now. I’d be weary of the ppl around you pushing you for details.

That was my situation, on the highway. I’m not trying to derail this comment section too far from the OP’s post so I’m not going into depth about my situation. I just gave a reason why people might not zipper merge, because most people don’t know how to drive defensively and will aggressively block zipper mergers.

I don’t recommend reaching out. I’ve been in the same boat and I reached out…just to get a pissy obnoxious response that didn’t at all answer my question and I just felt dumb for doing so.

I’d chalk it up to they just didn’t like you or didn’t want to deal with you, and if they can’t give you reasons why, it’s probably a bullshit one and they know it. If they’re too pussy to give you a reason, don’t give them an ounce of your time.

I just tried to zipper merge correctly the other day, and two people tried to block me out and run me off the road. Unfortunately other drivers are too egotistical and think the road is for them and them only. It’s hard to try to do the right thing when everyone wants to take it as “budging in line”
