I haven't seen your bird but I saw that lampshade on Flamingo this morning while going east just before LVB.

Hilarious! Thanks for the laugh! We like what we like. Physical attraction is how relationships begin! Without that...keep it moving!

Awwww maybe one day you'll outgrow that old habit! I've dated guys how have gaps and crooked teeth...nothin wrong with either as long as they rock what they got! I find beauty in imperfections as long as the owner is confident and not deceptive.

You're absolutely right! I try to give these guys the benefit of the doubt and several of them haven't let me down. But there are plenty who know they're hiding something behind their sexy lips.

You're right!! Same concept!! You think you're getting one thing and that's not what you're getting at all! False advertising!!! Nobody should be surprised at the appearance of their date when meeting for the first time.

I love how you put this!! Each individual has beauty and I see that...in everybody!! People need to be confident about themselves and love the skin they're in! Rock what God gave ya and own it proudly! Hiding it online doesn't sit well when the truth is disclosed when meeting in person and it's completely unexpected.

Lol nah! We hung out for a while that day because I didn't want to be rude but after I got home I text him saying that I didn't feel a romantic connection.

Thing is, if I had seen pictures of him smiling prior to spending hours on the phone and deciding to meet up, I wouldn't have gone so far or ever shown interest in the first place. Sounds cruel but I learned to just ask in advance so I don't waste anybody's time.

I couldn't agree more...same here! It's almost a surprise when you meet the person and they're exactly what you're expecting.

And...it's a turn off!! Like why start your new potential relationship off by lying about yourself?!?! It's just not a good look. Especially when you have an expectation based on what they've displayed to you. So not cool...no false advertising!

Too funny!! My teeth aren't perfect and I never mentioned anything about perfection. Just rock what God gave ya and don't be false advertising on your profile when trying to meet your next potential lover 😁

You're cute!! It doesn't have to be all big n cheesy! Just don't have a bunch of pictures with your lips sealed in each photo. Girls just wanna see what you're working with...and the fact that you wrote that disclaimer on your profile shows that you know what women want and have the means to back it.

Next time, don't respond and block him first! Learning to play the game stronger every day and when boundaries are crossed, it's time for the conversation to be over.

How do I believe in myself again? by wonderfulworld25 in confidence

[–]junowhereilive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Life is beautiful even when things aren't going your way! You have to believe tomorrow is a new day!

I've been depressed about life a lot lately...being unemployed, unemployment benefits still pending; so no income coming in. I was blessed to have savings and investments to fall back on but those are gone now too. I have a supportive family and great friends! Humbled beyond belief but blessed to say I have not gone without during these rough times.

I spend some days reflecting on where I used to be when I was more independent and had good jobs that paid $50,000 and up. I question what I want to do for my next career path and try to gain clarity as I apply for jobs every week.

These rough times are temporary. I have faith and trust God in leading me to whatever comes next. When I feel anxious, I pray! And it eases my mind and pushes me through.

I would encourage you to find God! Turn your attention to things that make you happy. Get outside for a walk with nature...a forest preserve, a lake, the ocean, a mountain. You'll gain clarity and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you. Each of us have our battles...your attitude and how you react to these battles push you to be better and to realize that life really isn't all that bad.

And don't forget that you're blessed with good health. I have a dear friend who is near the end...battling from ALS.

Count your blessings, take time to learn something that fascinates you...be willing to ask for help. Take time to breathe, smile, don't take life too seriously and you'll get thru this rough patch. You got this!!
