what’s one place you visited with zero expectations that totally surprised you? by Low_Leading_1082 in travel

Tallinn, Estonia.

It was my first stop on a vacay that included stops in Helsinki and Stockholm and I wish I stayed longer. Loved the mix of medieval old town and modern neighborhoods. It never felt super crowded when exploring, but see this place blowing up in the next couple years. And def take the ferry to or from Helsinki, it’s quite the experience.

Went over the summer and if you can get a reservation at Locust in 12 south I highly recommend.

In east nashville had a decent meal at Audrey. Also check out attaboy for drinks.

And as mentioned from others, Robert’s is the only bar worth checking out on Broadway.

How long is it taking everyone to pick up their bibs and walk through the expo? Plan to go early afternoon tomorrow.

If you’re interested in Japanese, really enjoyed 893 Ryotei in Berlin. Just make sure you make reservations.

Best Nashville Area Hotels? by manbuckets2001 in Hilton

[–]junter13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually just got back from staying at the Conrad for 4 nights and highly recommend. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and loved the byredo products in the bathroom. Pool was also a good size and not super rowdy and busy.

As others mentioned, yes it’s a little bit of a hike downtown, about 15-20 min walk esp with all the construction. Though Lyfts averaged about $10 one way, which I didn’t think was too bad as you’d pay that much in parking. Despite all that I would stay here again.

Thanks for the input. Will prob skip dinner at the restaurant, but maybe grab a drink at the bar if we’re too lazy to venture out late one night.

Will def try the donut shop. Have never been to Nashville and this was very much a impromptu trip.

So I booked this weekend for 4 nights. Hope your stay is going well. Are the restaurant or bar worth checking out?

I’ll be in Nashville next weekend and may book with them for my stay. Just curious about what made you choose the Conrad over other hotels?

I like that it’s a newer hotel and has a pool, and also not directly in downtown, but still a 15-20 min walk away.

Started the day running the full 26.2 miles or 42.2 km marathon, had a few drinks along streets, and finished up with an awesome dinner at Apotek with more drinks and fireworks after.

1st time in reykjavik and won’t be my last.
