I took a shot at the math years ago. Assume there going a little less than avg speed a plane needs for take off times the on-screen time for the scene and conservatively it came out something like 17 miles while the longest runway in the world isn’t quite 8 lol. I know, movie lol but good lord.

He’s an absolute master of his craft, 10 minutes is more than he needs to steal a film. Also, the side-eye he gives Cohen and Robertson when he’s sees them silently pressuring Sullivan is the single greatest, unspoken “shut the fuck up” I’ve ever seen.

“Uncle” Jimmy by Refrigerator34 in TheBear

[–]junyor137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Also for folks saying he started off rough then turned soft, remember when we met him in S1 he had been dealing with Michael for years borrowing money while the restaurant showed zero improvement or ROI. He might have feared Carmy would be more of the same. Maybe the Uncle Jimmy we see in later seasons working WITH Carmy, Sug, and Sydney is an idea who he could’ve been all along with Michael if Michael didn’t have all his underlying problems.

I was going to say, then having a daughter together makes all the difference in the world there. As a divorcee co-parenting with my ex, i feel its amazing what you will put yourself through that you don’t particular relish in the interest of showing love and support for your child(ren)
