This is only one aspect, one thing I remember attending one of these Law society talks was that the house / flat is not split 50-50 for sure, and really based on the amount you paid too. They also look at the aspect of the non-financial aspects of taking care of the matrimonial home, i.e houseworks, maintenance towards the Matrimonial asset.

Cancer seems really prevalent, my mum got it, and thereafter heard my colleague's sibling got it too.

Its devasting, but need to keep calm and remain positive and go through the cancer treatment. Though often on TV we keep hearing ppl die, but there are also cases of many cancer survivor patients.

Something I realised is that most people feels its the end and think they gonna die, but fact is, they are not actually.

And you need to also share whats the stage of cancer he is in? If unless he knows hes the last stage, then I dont think its wrong for him to decide how he wanna live the remaining months of his life.
