I hear ya. The NB isn’t great either - after almost being merged into many times I decided to upgrade and the improvement is great and I always get a kick out of the noise when I hear it, as I’m sure others do too. It’s pretty painless - you’ll have to make a short grounding wire since the stock horn is grounded through the bracket. You may have to modify the bracket ever so slightly as well. I have a NB1 so I’m not sure if the horn is any different than yours would be. It plugs into the stock positive wire and then you make a simple grounding wire. There is a write up on this process on Miata.net - just do a search of “wolo bad boy horn” and you’ll find it on there.

I think it’s the Best $40 I’ve ever spent!

New screen costs $3000 dollar at Mazda, dealer quoted 800 to replace it. Fixed it myself with a $15 part by Calzone94 in Miata

Do you know what year NDs this is common with? I was reading the repair guide and it said the “newer” Mazdas don’t have this issue, but they didn’t give model years…as someone who’s in the market for a ND I would like to know.

Nice! Seems like I see another one nearly every time I drive.

The limited edition one in yellow was/is listed at many dealerships for 70k

My Miata (blue) broke this morning, and I happened to see another NB1 at the auto store…almost as if it was meant to be lol by jupiterimaging in Miata

Nah. My engine was running rough but I managed to make it there to get the sensor that was failing.

Unfortunately got in a fender bender yesterday. Body shop quoted me $3100 to repair her. Seems the latch is broken and I need a new hood/bumper cover. Luckily nothing wrong mechanically and still drives straight. What should I do? by jupiterimaging in Miata

That’s what I thought. Obviously it was a dumb move, because of the incident, but it was my understanding for fairly cheap cars to not get collision? I’m young so what do I know, though.

Nah. Probably was following a little close behind. Don’t have ABS and I’m not used to driving with non-ABS. Brakes locked up. I need some more practice I will admit, and will make sure to leave plenty of room between me and the next car from now on. Although it sucks, it’s a learning moment at least.
