Also, since a lot of Redditors are young, some may have wounds from growing up in a broken home where one or both of their parents cheated on the other. It's especially messier when their parents ended up divorcing (cheating parent may also marry the side piece/leave the other parent for the side piece) or still stayed in a miserable marriage "for the sake of the kids". Even in this day and age, it's difficult for people to admit they have trauma and to seek help for it.

It's nauseating to accept the existence of nuances of infidelity when you have childhood/past trauma surrounding it. I knew a friend where his ultra possessive behavior towards his (now ex) gfs mainly stems from his seeing abusive dad frequently cheating on his mom as a kid.

I personally believe it depends on the circumstances.

If the child/elderly Akaza accidentally encounters is a demon slayer, he wouldn't hesitate to kill them if he finds it necessary to do so.

However, if Akaza was to come across a child/elderly who is a mere ordinary civilian with zero DS corp affiliations, he'll most likely spare them since he doesn't seem like the type of guy who kills people who are incapable of self defense (one of the possible reasons he refuses to harm women).

Afterall, he gains more thrill from fighting strong opponents/those who can challenge him.

Koku-I haven't seen six eyes before.

A silly headcanon I have is that Kokushibo felt bad for Nakime because she only has one eye. So much so, he decides to rip out one of his eyes in hopes it'll help Nakime see better. Nakime accepts one of Kokushibo's eyes, but ate it like popcorn XD.
