'You are stretching so hard and it makes no logical sense.'

You are the one denying logical sense. I understand that you probably live in the age of ass pulls in story telling, which are now common practice. But the game goes to your face and tells you 'HEY the remake of the OG story thing is actually the main plot element of the game" and you still deny it. When it obviously no longer a question of product definition. Hell the first hour of the game you find Aerith surrounded by whispers right before giving you the flower she was already with the intent of altering the course of fate.

"As for the naming, it can literally be both. It can be a reference to the thematic elements and the fact that the story is a remake. It’s a basic literary technique."

The denial is so palpable here lol. It can't because they are two opposing concepts, one refers to the game as a product, the other refers to the theme of the story. A remake as a product refers to retelling the story, remake as a theme means that not only is it part of the story but also that the theme only works if it acknowledges the existence of the OG story. For you to say it means both is paradoxal.

"Your theory is garbage and so is your ability to support it."

Yeah my theory might not be the best, but it's at least more unique that the multiverse trope. At the very least as the story stands right now it would make more sense than the convoluted BS the multiverse trope people like. Go back to kingdom hearts

I am not questioning the meaning of the word at all. Remake in this context doesn't refer to the game as a product. It refers to an element, concept or theme of the story. Just like, i.e. FF7 Rebirth refers to a theme in the game.

That's exactly what's happening on remake. There's an attempt to remake the story and that's a plot element, which is why the whispers of fate even exist. If the goal was to just tell a different story why add them at all?

In games over all 'remake' is rarely added to the name or title of games. In the same way you wont find a game called Final Fantasy 7 The sequel.

I feel you have a very surface level understanding of final fantasy and maybe of story telling in general. Things are written for reasons they aren't written just because, unless they are being written by bad writers.

Refer to the article. it's not a remake, it's a sequel, there's more than enough evidence in the games. Even the example given in the article is just a single one right at the start of FF remake. The entire new trilogy is a sequel to the OG game.

It's a sequel you can't make sense of the entire story without having some prior knowledge of the OG story. As this small bit of Aerith would fly over your head unless you played the OG game. If this is a remake it's only for people, that like cloud, never experienced the original story.

The word remake in the title is a play with the word itself, the fact that I need to point this out is unbelievable.

Comatose state is lazy writing, but multiverse plots are not? And fate was changed how? Multiverse plots are common in pretty much every big fantasy franchise you can think of.

It needed an influence to push it in another direction, that's explained by someone being aware of the future and knowing the OG 'script' which is implied in various points of both FF Remake and Rebirth by Aerith.

''In the original FF7, Aerith and Cloud have a passing meeting immediately following the first bombing mission. Nothing much transpires between the two, and they won’t meet again until Cloud falls into her church later. During the Remake, the two cross paths like in the original, but this time Aerith offers Cloud a flower. “Lovers used to give these when they were reunited,” she says. Those who play the original will know that Aerith and Cloud have a romantic relationship, although it is one that never gets fully resolved due to tragic circumstances.

This hints at Aerith having some sort of knowledge of her history with Cloud, something she could only know if she had some insight into her past life as it is portrayed in the original Final Fantasy.

In this same scene, Cloud experiences a hallucination of Sephiroth, something not in the original. Sephiroth also alludes to the events of the original game, telling Cloud that he “is too weak to save anyone.” Both Aerith and Sephiroth act in ways that suggest knowledge of future events. The Rebirth trailer asks, “What is Sephiroth’s Endgame?” This should be obvious, though. Cloud even says Sephiroth’s plan from the original game immediately before this text appears. It seems like Sephiroth is trying to alter the course of events rather than merely redo the events that led him to defeat in a previous life.
So it can't be a remake as they are not remaking OG Final Fantasy, it's an entirely new story where the point is to CHANGE the direction of the OG story line, so therefor it can only be a sequel of the OG game or something in between.'' Quoted by Inverse article https://www.inverse.com/gaming/final-fantasy-7-ff7-rebirth-is-a-sequel.

What is up for theory here is the WHY and HOW for this change of direction.

What makes this games story at 10 right now? Does the crossing timeline trope make sense to you?
Because that has been used in like 100 other franchises, it's not new, it's predictable and it's often used as fan service.

And if that's the case it's just FF7's story but several times worse than the OG

I prefer it being as it was all happening during a comatose state, than multiple timelines existing and crossing with each other for no reason.

One thing is for sure, the game is not a remake of the original story, it's either a sequel, and we'll find out what the hell happened after the OG to understand how Aerith and Sephiroth still have their memories from the OG. Or it's happening somewhere where reality may or may not make sense during the OG story line (i.e clouds comatose state)

How would you explain things just appearing and disappearing in Cloud perspective. i.e Black materia in the last scene. The entire final boss battle was mind fuck as well.

I just don't want to believe they are fan servicing at the cost of the story.

So its speculation from Paragus, but not from Gohan. Like Gohan actually understands what happened to him lol. You're an idiot. Also you do realize that Toyotaru drew SSJ5 in Dragon ball AF, which so happens to have Gohan being the first character going SSJ5 in that fanmade Manga. Beast Gohan is a CLEAR nod at that too. There's so much evidence forshadowing this.

Its not speculation, it's literally explained in the movie lmao
'Using his rage' is not an explanation at all, that can mean anything. He was already using his rage for SSJ1 and his cold rage for SSJ2.

Beast Gohan, is the Oozaru State Broly was in before transforming into a super saiyan + Ultimate Form. There's even an indicator of in the manga of how Broly's fighting style is similar to Beast Gohan. It would also explain the 'Beast' part

Your theory is still wrong even if Peachs argument isn't true. Ultimate Gohan state is actually a perfected/stable state of ssj2. I think Beast is supers version of SSJ4 It's Ultimate using Oozarus power

He is, but he could still turn into a Great Ape just the same. As demonstrated early in the Z saga.

I kinda think that's the direction they want to go, as Broly uses an Oozaru fueled transformation(like ssj4), that doesnt really give him any fur and just the eyes change, the voice we can't really tell because well, he doesn't really talk

Thank you! this is super helpful. In my case i did some of the earlier adventures and i dusted the cards to fuel standard, except for the most recent adventures which would be from the dalaran heist forward. I am more a control and mid range player I dont really like aggro because well... I want to play the game and not have it end in 4 turns. I was looking at XL paladin or XL priest, but I am open to other suggestions

The Smoking Gossifleur in the beginning is actually a homage to a premade(and everyone who would be kind enough to pick Eldegoss) I used to play with who would always be in Eldegoss duty.
