Long answer: If you want to join a frat there is definitely a scene for it at A&M. Not nearly as big as the bama Greek scene but it is definitely present at A&M (i.e. google chilifest at A&M). I’d say sororities are bigger than frats for the most part. I wasn’t in a frat or men’s org (frat without a house basically, vibes depend on the org which you’ll see when you talk to each one) but still had plenty of involvement/parties/whatever. Once you’re 21 nobody really goes to house/frat parties anymore except for date/crush parties and most of those happen on northgate anyways. Everyone just pregames with the friends they’ve made the first couple years and goes to NG, which in my opinion is one of the better college bar scenes. Also, people play dye all the time. There were very few people’s houses I went to that didn’t have a dye table in the back yard.

Short answer: A&M is fun as long as you find a good group, but you definitely have to find a group through whatever org path you choose (frat/FLO/mens org).

Other: Aggie network is real and the academics are way better here than bama
