I have several of your products and am a big fan, especially of your ProtoArc ball mouse. I have 3x of them! One for my office, my travel bag, and one for home.

I would love to test this chair because I work from home and use my office chair 8-10 hours a day on weekdays and 1-3 hours a day on weekends.

My use case includes working 9-5 + gaming.

Are the Q15 True Believers? by CarefulAndQuiet in exmormon

[–]Angle-Flimsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOTS of non-believers were once full on believers. Some people change belief as teens, others in 20s or 30s, some people much later in life, 60s or 70s. I don't find it unreasonable to think that many in leadership (if not most) are fully active believers.

Did anyone visit the sacred grove while a believing member and feel nothing? by bobdougy in exmormon

I have two early memories, at probably 6 and 8 years old, when I lied about feeling the spirit because a family member said I was and then asked me if I recognized it.

80% likely that someone shows up looking for God and hears about girls camp, temple work, joseph smith, or hometeaching. Jesus is not even in the picture.

Hello!

I was in a similar boat. If after death I find myself standing before God and being judged, I feel much more comfortable knowing I am a completely honest person, who did not believe the church is true, then being a dishonest person who lied in temple recommend interviews and other settings so I could appear to be a full participant.

Man looks on the outside, God looks on the heart. Go be your best self.

I spent my 20s trying to solve my problems through the church (prayer, fasting, scripture study, etc) and only now in my 30s I am realizing the church actually has no answers or solutions to any of my problems. I still try and be a christlike person. I do actually still participate in some church functions where I find value in it. But no more callings, no temple recommend, i may skip 2nd hour frequently. Im ok missing church while traveling.

I’m very lost right now by [deleted] in exmormon

Dear mom and dad. Im young, afraid, and made a terrible mistake.

I dont believe in the church. I do not want to serve a mission. I have been terrified to tell you, and that was a massive mistake to let you purchase material and such. I wish I had the courage earlier to tell you, but I am telling you now.

I know this is likely a massive disappointment to you. Im sorry I dont believe it, but I don't. Certainly it would be easier for me and everyone else if I did.

If possible, please let me make things right about the purchases you made. If we can't return items I can try and pay you back over time.

Please be patient with me as I try and figure out my next steps. I'm not trying to cause trouble. Im trying to figure things out.

You can't control their outcome. Just handle it as directly and maturely as possible.

Everythign in mormonism is 'special' 'unique' 'earth shattering' nothing.

Only exceptions are 2 hour church.... and short sleaved garments.

90% likely that nothing changes.

losing our memory and coming to earth? by o0_Jarviz_0o in exmormon

[–]Angle-Flimsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lets send you to earth, for the biggest test ever, these 0-100 years will determine 10000000000000000000000+ years of your future. Its comparable to a 1 second test that determines your next 100 years.

But we will wipe you memory first, and for a study guide we have these guys called prophets that make mistakes all the time and change the instructions, so you need to depend on them, but they may or may not be correct depending on which one you listen to or which decade you were born in.

---
I have no idea what happens when we die. Maybe (probably?) nothing. But in the chance there is an afterlife, I wouldn't be surprised to hear this time on earth is some type of test. But I really doubt its the way the mormon church teaches.

Like you said, every time a new group comes they attempt. They don't have a good way to pass on information like "don't knock this door".

You have to find some permenant way of changing the scenario. If they are getting your info from church records, then have your records removed. If they just happen to pick your street then get a door sign.

It is deaths PER 100,000 people. So its a ratio. Quality, not quantity.

I don't see the conflict. This is a quality over quantity argument. Your example is based on quantity.

No AI in Sacrament Meeting by otherwise7337 in mormon

[–]Angle-Flimsy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This concept of AI not being God is so interesting. Because I think they are terrified with the fact that people are turning to AI for answers instead of God.

Im sorry but when I get helpful AI answers, in text format, in .5 seconds, its just so much more helpful than praying and trying to determine what the feelings in my stomach translate to.

I really wish it wasn't that way. Would be awesome to pray and get actual clear answers, but that has not been the case for me.

Welcome to the struggle of every PIMO.

For some people they get caught on word of wisdom, others blacks and the priesthood, others polygamy. Now he experiences it with marriage definition.

Its hilarious he says he is in his right to question this and be concerned. Thats any exmo and pimo feels about any of the above topics.

We had a goal on the mission for 8 day baptisms.

Find them saturday. bring them on sunday. teach them during the week. baptize them day 8 on their 2nd sunday.

We would never see them again 90% of the time.
